I love this game! Honestly, when anyone ever asks what my favourite game is, I will always answer "Overgrowth"

I understand that many people will be angered by the seemingly "slow production", however there are often updates every 2-3 months at most, though according to news, that will be dropped to 2 weeks, with small nightly updates.

This games code is almost completely open, meaning that the modders have access to make the awesome mods that they do, because of this and the in game editor included, the whole thing becomes almost limitless even in its alpha stages. Some that are either in development or already released at the time of this message are; the bow and arrow mod (by Gyrth), the multiplayer mod OGMP (by Surak and Gyrth) and Therium 2 a , currently, 32 level campaign with full storyline, backstories, lore and exclusive items (by Timbles)

Another great thing about Overgrowth is its community, the thousands of users on its forums are almost always happy to answer your questions and provide content and most posts are replied to within 30 minutes any issue you have is sure to be sorted on there (forums.wolfire.com)

The SUMlauncher application is an unofficial add on that you can run alongside your game, it allows for update alerts, latest news from the development of the game, all the settings options, game reports and automatic downloads for all the best mods found on the forums. This only enhances what is currently available with the alpha.

I would thoroughly encourage the purchase of this game, though quite bare in features in its initial state, the mods and community more than make up for what is missing

(Before you buy, one downfall, this game requires OpenGL 3.2, this has become an issue for a few players rendering their game unusable including me. Alpha 209 is still playable without 3.2, but just in case, I suggest you check)
