The camera and the controls are both really janky. The insistence on using a top-down camera except for when you're leaned up against a wall feels intentional, but also feels not great because it's hard to get a sense of the room and where you are in relation to it based on the top-down camera. Tutorial says to hold RMB to draw weapon, but after I killed a dude and took his gun, I held RMB but the weapon never got drawn or came up.

I think the enemies might have detected me through a wall. I think I might have also just ever so slightly clipped through that wall when running up against it, which is why I got detected in the first place.

Stealth games are my favorite genre of games, so I was really looking forward to a new stealth game, but I think I'm just going to pull out my old copy of Metal Gear Solid on CD-ROM and play that instead.

Protip: Hit the Steam screenshot button right before the cards start flipping face down to be able to match the cards easily if you're not interested in a challenge.

The bartender gameplay is kinda interesting, but the pottery gameplay straight up sucks. I'd play an entire game of serving customers drinks, but not being able to skip the pottery minigame made me uninstall.

Cozy and well made, but ultimately way too short and unsatisfying due to that. Completed the game in less than two hours. This feels more like a proof of concept than a full game.

I played through the demo a few times. It was not representative of the final game, which, while fun, is frustratingly difficult.

Enemies are overtuned. Six hours in, and I'm still having to burn every resource to fight an elite monster, and if I don't get a heal right before a boss, I'm basically screwed. With the more recent patches, enemies have become less challenging due to changes made by the developer, including toggles and sliders that can change how difficult a given run is. Furthermore, the game turns out to be more balanced around the progression of building out a base than the cards you end up with your deck.

Cards are undertuned. Compared to enemies, who output heaping amounts of damage, player damage is kind of piddling.

Synergies don't work very well. For example, the cultist has a bloodlust mechanic where they gain bloodlust levels by inflicting damage and bleeding, but it doesn't seem to have any innate effect, few cards take advantage of this, and the cards that do give miniscule additional effects based on bloodlust level.

It has the bones of a good game, and the visual and sound design are fantastic. If you like roguelike deckbuilders—I do—this is a good addition to the genre, but encounters are very overtuned to a point where it's difficult without feeling rewarding.

Keeps running in background after exit. Full of microtransactions.

A wonderful little toy in the form of a cyberpunk-themed stress-free city builder. There's no real objectives or anything like that, but it's a nice little distraction that's dripping with style.

A single player game that includes Easy Anti-Cheat because the devs care more about their time trials mode leaderboard than a clean player experience.

There are dozens of good metroidvania titles out there. No reason to install a game that includes a kernel-level anti-cheat, which is like leaving your front door open and trusting your neighbors to keep an eye out for you.

Response to the Developer's Response:

Although the developers have been cowed by the community into removing EAC, this does not excuse their insensitive response to the review made by an ostensibly disabled veteran gamer who was negatively affected by the implementation of EAC or their rude assertion that negative reviews were made by fake accounts.

Short, preachy, and not particularly fun once you figure out that all you need to do is load up on nuclear power and you can ditch the 20th Century whatever

It's a pretty good wrestling game, if you're playing 1v1 match types.

Unfortunately, it's laughably bad in multi-man matches, there's no exhibition (as in watch the AI fight itself) mode and it forcibly integrates Epic Online Services even if you have no intention of playing online, when it should only ask for logging in if you're trying to play online.

Campaign mode is pretty weak; it takes maybe a couple hours to complete. CAWs start in the Casino Battle Royale, and even though they make a show of letting you pick a card to determine when you're supposed to enter the match, the game will always force you to be the first person in... and since multi-man matches are laughly bad... you get the picture.

CAW is pretty barebones in terms of visual customization. There're plenty of moves, but the search function is basically a non-starter because it doesn't really let you search nearly as specifically as you'd need to in order to find a specific move. Trying to find specific moves is like pulling teeth.

This is a really budget title, and it shows. I regret purchasing at full price; for $20, I think I'd be much less disappointed.
