Perfect example of a game that requires a "meh" rating.
You get what you pay for.
Campaign is 5hrs tops (including cutscenes) (10 chapters x 2 character perspectives)
Total fight roster is 8 characters.
Full roster only available upon completion of both stories.
HEAPS of unlockable content. No additional cosmetics or characters, just gestures/expressions, and (I don't even know what to call it... additional dialogue?) paid for with in game currency - grind intensive.

Barebones adaptation of anime story, so if you haven't scene it, the storyline may confuse you a bit.

Gameplay is solid, online is mostly dead (unless you hit up discord or the forums).
Story mode progression required to unlock online.

Think that pretty much sums it up.

Oh! Ultra basic fight mechanics. you can win an entire match with a button mash, so it's beginner friendly, BUT in a one VS more than one match, if you get caught in a combo, you're pretty much done for.

Enjoy.

The smoothest Netherrealm port to date (yes, I know, it was a very low bar to begin with...)
Perfect konclusion to the reboot trilogy. [\spoiler]
- if you're at all interested in playing this for the story, I'd recommend playing them through in order.
Only two years to go til the new soft reboot releases, pending setbacks, etc.
At the very least, it should be interesting.

Note:
The '95 movie pack and Halloween pack aren't included in the DE.
Also, you unlock Frost relatively early in Story Mode, so unless you're exclusively playing for MP, no need to purchase the DLC (which remains purchasable even after unlocking her in-game).

Not so much a review, than an opinion.
This game is very Deadpool-esque.
It can be frustrating at times, but there is satisfaction found through perseverance.
The mechanics are smooth.
Would highly recommend, even at full price.
The game isn’t particularly long (You can S-rank/speed run it in about 3hrs), but I’d say that it’s definitely worth the price of admission.
Plus, if you’re so inclined to do so, there’s plenty of replayablility, be it thanks to post-game modifiers (collected during playthrough), or just trying to better your ranking.

Remember: Bananas put the “YUM!” in potassium.

I wish there was a neutral rating.
It’s not a bad game, it’s just not good.

The gameplay is just far too similar to Saint Saiya.
Although each character’s move set is their own, combat quickly becomes stale and repetitive, especially because of characters quirk power imbalances, which inevitably leads to spamming through auto combos if you’re trying to S rank certain opponents while meeting secret reward requirements.
The story is what sets it apart.
If you’re a MHA fan, you’re in it for the lore.

On the plus side, the single player campaign missions are plentiful, so it’ll definitely keep you busy.

The devs did an excellent job with this game.
It's brutal. It's unforgiving. It's not for the faint of heart.

This is not a city builder. It's a no-holds-barred survival simulator.

On a personal note:
If you're as high strung as I am, you shouldn't be playing this game.

Fireproof Games really have outdone themselves with their third installment of The Room franchise. It not only met all expectations, but was beautifully remastered for its PC release.
Windows 7 users seem to be experiencing some codec issues, but this port ran flawlessly for myself at max settings on win10.
This time round we find ourselves delving much deeper into the lore surrounding the Craftsman and The Null.
Puzzles are no longer limited to a single room, and we have now been given the opportunity to change the fate of our protagonist through multiple endings.
Trying to keep this spoiler free really just turns this into a verbose love letter to Fireproof Games, thanking them for sending us on another most excellent Lovecraftian adventure.
I know the ports take us roughly two years to reach us here on PC, but I'm eagerly awaiting The Room 4.
If you're a fan of the franchise, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this latest chapter.

I have a love hate relationship with Bandai Namco.
They love taking my money, and I hate giving it to them.
I could easily break into a novel length diatribe about how they take full advantage of anime and manga fans, but I won’t.
The game is solid, as to be expected from ASW.
It is predominantly focused towards online play, but the Story Mode, though lacklustre in comparison to Xenoverse, is still enjoyable.

This product just wasn't for me. Hoped it'd add something to Story Mode, but it's focused towards Arcade and Online.
Oh well, my loss.
Only negative criticism is that it's overpriced, but that's the price you pay for anime/manga fanfare.
ASW and Namco did a solid job, as always.

Great little open world combat-free puzzle platformer with Lovecraftian undertones.
If anything, it's a little bit too short, but very enjoyable.

I gave this game a positive review late last year, but in its current state I wouldn't even recommend it at 50% off..
I sounds rough, but the game id overpriced and bugged to all hell, especially when it comes to equips; 30FPS lock on cutscenes (almost standard in ports); the "dev"-tagged mods of the community are completely unresponsive, and the PC market are treated like dirt.
Also, the owners of Ultimate Edition/Pack do not get their early access to DLC content like their console counterparts.
Seriously, it's the same ♥♥♥♥ we get from every other WB/NRS game, but for once, this time it has great netcode! An awesome addition if you get the chance to utilise it before your fame crashes.

Please find my original "positive" review below.

It's been a while since I've written a review, so I'll keep it short, and spoiler free.
This game is good - not Fighting Game of the Year 2017 "good, but good".

If you like NetherRealm games, you'll like it. They've put a lot more effort into porting this to PC than any of their previous releases.

The cinematics are beautifully rendered. The mechanics are pretty solid.

For the most part, the changes and new systems are for the best, the multiverse (as well as in battle mutators) and guild systems being introduced due to their popularity in MKX/XL.
The multiverse's difficulty is dependent on the individual characters level progression (similar to that of Tekken's character ranks).

Cosmetics and a loot system have been introduced to promote grinding, and DO give player advantage in online play. The only saving grace is that micros have not been introduced.
EDIT: I stand corrected. There are microtransactions, they're just ingame, not instore credit purchases...

The decision to rename and hide the Arcade Mode within the Multiverse is a bit unnecessary though.

S.T.A.R labs has been removed, as to not distract from the multiverse. Personally, I see thins as a bit of a shame, as I prefer the permanence of the STAR Labs system than that of The Multiverse (think MKX Special Towers), which have time resetrictions of availability. That being said, I completely understand the decision to do so.

In my opinion, I think the Story Mode story from the first game is a lot better than the story of the second, but that's purely subjective. There has been an additional feature of "Alternate History" introduced to the story mode this time around, allowing the player to choose which branch or path to follow at specific points in chapters during each playthrough.

I am leaving a positive review, because there's nothing wrong with the game itself, BUT I do believe it is a tad over priced for what it is, as I rate all games based on their single player content, and for me, once I've completed the short arcade ladder with each character to see their individual ending panels, I'm done.
