Tried this game shortly after release. Got a refund because it would crash on start up. Figured I would give it another shot and it's still doing it. Don't buy this game. Terribly optimized and zero support or even acceptance that there is an actual issue with this rushed game. So disappointing.

Best tower defense game to ever hit Planet Earth. They manage to actually make it better and better each time.

Game only has 11 levels. Not as advertised. Don't buy.

Fun

This game makes me so mad. It is SUCH a good game design. Everything about it works so well, even after the major changes.

But this game is so problematic on the computer side. You will eventually not be able to play, have to redownload the game constantly, the list goes on. The optimization and errors that this game has absolutely ruins the experience. DO NOT start to play this game. You will have a lot of fun, but also have A LOT of technical issues. I doubt this will ever change.

Starting this off by saying I only have 2 hours on the game so far.

That being said, it seems really in depth and it adds new aspects to city building that I haven't personally experienced before. Some of these notable features are general combat, resources being pooled instead of having to make trade routes etc, and genuine politics.

The game is also HUGE as far as I can tell. Not sure how long it will take me the first time to get through it all, but seriously, this game is fun.

I think most of the negativity comes from people playing previous Annos and disliking the attempt to make this game different. As someone who has never played any previous Annos, but has hundreds and hundreds of hours into other city building games, I will proudly state that this one is looking promising for me.

I will give a new review once I have "finished" the game. Give it a try though, I'd highly recommend it.
