I have never seen a game that portraits death and passing so beautifully yet so real as Spiritfarer.

The mechanics are simple and rewarding - it's always a joy to find out a new recipe in the oven or discover the likes and dislikes of a spirit. But by far what has caught me the most was the cheer simplicity of it all - and that's where the game shines.

Like any complicated process, death is best described not as a convoluted situation, but rather as a intricate situation of simple events. Like retrieving a simple heirloom for a spirit, or bringing them to a specific place.

Death is not a complex process. Spiritfarer understands that.
