I'd only recommend buying more DLCs (especially the latest one) if you really, REALLY like the game:
- maybe after looking at footages,
- or after actually trying the F2P contents out,
- or your friends keep bugging you to play the game,
- or all of the above.

Would NOT recommend doing it if you'd feel pressured by the constant grind or none of the above apply... or both. As per 9th of October 2024 (Episode Revenant), they'd have adjusted the grind system so make sure you do enough research on other medias.

All things considered, it's an amazing game with great production quality, especially in lore settings, graphics and audio. Destiny has beautiful universe.

Story and seasonal contents are not exactly strong all the time, but the satisfying gunplay will always set a new standard for you.
