Early Access Review
Bad optimization despite all of the "major" updates. 10 years of Alpha, not much notable progress.

I love the game for the unique gameplay & crafting, but it needs optimization ASAP, especially in cities and during horde/blood moon attacks.20-30 fps on a high-end machine with all of the FPS boosting guides, tricks, performance modes is quite upsetting.
As some of the reviews said, devs are focused on random updates one in a very big while rather than working on optimization.

Given how long game is in Alpha, it's probably best to switch to another engine than [..] that old corpse of a game.
I am giving up on waiting, it's been too long.

Improvements to melee combat, I should say.

They've already gone through several huge overhauls to the gameplay, graphics, mapping, and character progression. Hardly call those "small" updates. Alpha 17 coming with weapon modifications (scopes, triggers, silencers, etc.) 70 new full dungeons, a brand new world generator, Fixes to melee combat, Two new vehicles (one may not launch immediately), and several other things I forget to mention. Doesn't matter about the pace at all. They're keeping at it when most other indie devs would've given up long ago. There are hundreds of games that died because of that, and they met well over their kickstarter goal. I have to give nothing but respect to devs that are at least still trying, and still very much improving their game. As I've said before, the game could be released if it had some minor bug fixes, but they're keeping it in EA to continuously work on it.

@Morbus47

Have you even read my review?
It's not about the cars at all, it was just an example.
I'm complaining, because there are no major updates, devs are horribly slow.
All they say is:

" We need money to give people more promises. Our goal was to achieve 200k, but we happened to get over 500k USD. As you noticed, we released a dirtbike, because we love our supporting community.
Oh, and also check out our merch so we could earn more money and not do shit at all. "
Sad but true.

When you suck at a game but can't find a good reason to give it a downvote - "cars r bad lul"

Man you kids seriously need help. 7 is better than Rust and DayZ combined. You kids literally play for a few hours, get mad at your inability to learn, then write a generic "It's in alpha and it sucks" review just out of spite. People that have played the game for thousands of hours is barely an excuse for "getting scammed", because the game already has so much in it that it could be released now, save for some optimization and minor bug fixes. I have yet to run into anything game breaking.
You've obviously never played on any PVP servers, either. That's where this game truly shines. You'd know if you.. well, actually gave it a shot. 45 hours is hardly a shot for a game this large.

"it's a thinking person's game"

Thanks for the chuckle.

I have played this game for over 1600 hrs on one account and 800+ on my server account. I haven't seen any of the 'problems' you cite. The fact that there are only two cars to choose from is kind of irrelevant IMO. Not like you will be driving them- the only thing you do is take them apart. Should there be a lot of effort towards making different colored/shaped trees rather than devote the time to content? That's what it sounds like you are pushing for. See my review on this game. I played this game in Alpha 15 and loved it. Then alpha 16 came out and I was thrilled -ECSTATIC- with the genuine CONTENT which they added to the game. It might just be that this isn't the game for you- it's a thinking person's game and relies on your own internal creativity to get the best from it. Perhaps give Minecraft a shot. It's a little simpler......
