Maybe the last gen console versions of this game are unplayable, I don't know. But the PC version is awesome. Sure there are a couple of bugs, some clipping, etc. Absolutely within acceptable levels for a game this massive. The PC version of this game is definitely less buggy than a Bethesda release, probably on par with GTA 4 on release.
Speaking of GTA, a lot of games have tried to occupy that same space unsuccessfully. Most of them end up being mostly overlooked, but personally I feel that Cyberpunk 2077 is a solid competitor to GTA V. What it lacks in pedestrian AI, it vastly makes up for in lore and creativity.
