The map is really detailed and beautiful, and there are several distant start dates. The gameplay is too straightforward, easy and lacks replayability. It is still fun for a a 10-15 hours.

Why is everything a percentage?? What does 100% gdp even mean?? There is no simulated economy. Money you tax is created from nothing and money you spend is destroyed.

I had high hopes after playing 2016 but it is a total downgrade, at least for me.
Melee attacks don't deal any damage. It's just there to initiate glory kills. The powerful war-machine that is supposedly feared by all the demons can't even knock down a skinny zombie without his weapons.
No immersion. The environment, the map, the UI, everything feels too gimmicky.
Parkour with arching shield refills that looks straight out of Mario.
Rock paper scissors combat system. The game forces you to use specific weapons for specific enemies so you can't get creative with the selection or have a favorite weapon.

It was good while it lasted.

They definitely know how to make the perfect mmo, otherwise they wouldn't be able to create the exact opposite.

One of my favorite games of all time. Compared to the other Paradox games this one has the richest content and has the highest re-playability. The only problem I have with it is the DLCs. Instead of them being additional content, a lot of essential features of the game are locked behind a paywall.
