I have had this game since is was first released for purchase when it was just a small game with a few basic idea and alot of hope for becoming something big, i played on and off until its official release and since then i have practically played it non-stop yes there is DLC but its not necessary it just shows devs we still like this game, and every game has dlc which gives alittle more. ignore those bad dlc comments, if a friend has it and you dont and you play together you can still use them. nothing is always free thats life, STOP TRYING TO BE AND FEEL ENTITLED, your a customer and the devs giving a £2 dlc compared to games with like £20 dlcs that do bugger all is worth it, if you require a parent its easy ask for a steam gift card from game ect....

This game is amazing and with the strong modding community and workshop creators, there are endless possibilities of what can be done with this game, playing with friends or alone you make the game your way, people dont want to use mods but complain theres no end game or accomplishment to work towards. use the mods and scenarios people have created and the galaxy is yours to command. start small with a little outpost, move to a new spot and build something alittle bigger, live underground, have a secret bunker, have a huge factory where all your ores are drone delivered and bring back ingots or components to your home base. Build a ship and move to a new moon,planet or heck live in a damn asteroid.

Your only limit is your imagination to use what has been provided to you. and me? im currently building my factory building with living quarters and processes and in the process of designing a massive ship to run purely on hydrogen to land on planets and return to space, that can carry three smaller ships and a medium sized ship and thanks to a few mods that make things realistic without being OP its nearly complete.

Overall? Get this game, learn the basics, play with mods that add to the games experience (E.G. Modular encounters and surface occupation they add bases and in planet and moon cargo ships to plunder ad fight.) and then find a server and make new friends to build with. This game is endless for a reason, MAKE IT YOUR OWN
