You can play "a low level game as a count in France" and end up ruling the Empire of Mali, while your cousin rules Jerusalem, the HRE is destroyed and remade by Poland and half of Africa is Valencia. Worth it for the alt history alone.

This game is for sickos. I'm sickos.

It's a good time. It takes inspiration from GW's best tabletop game and makes a very approachable computer version.

This game has satire. As such, some people will find it funny and others will miss the point and find it relatable.

But that's not what it's about, really. The game is a solid chaotic team shooter with fun toys, big explosions, many accidents and highly dramatic escapes. It keeps delivering these tense mini stories (like that time we kited a bile titan for 15 minutes and the final thing that killed it was our escape plane once we'd given up) at a reliable pace. Good times.

It's classic xcom with a modern implementation, which is cool and nice.
If you already have xenonauts 1, this might not be a necessary buy, but if you don't have either, get this one.

I keep putting way too much time into this game in unproductive ways and it still feels fun

Buy this game for the puns alone. It helps that the game itself is baller.

I was never good at megaman style games, but regardless this one is fun
