Dishonored is a great game. Maybe even an amazing game. However, this is due to the sum of its pieces, rather than specifics, as this game is littered with issues ranging from mildly annoying to downright hysterical.

Pros
+ Unrivaled stealth/action gameplay
+ Terrific level design
+ Interesting and unique setting
+ Power system really adds to overall gameplay
+ Strong replay value
+ Practically glitch free
+ Good PC port with solid performance, mouse support on all menus and an FOV slider going up to 110. My only issue is that the amount of different settings left a bit to be desired, especially in the graphics section.
+ Choice between combinations of going stealthy, loud, lethal and nonlethal

Cons
-Story is alright, I guess. I didn’t feel too invested in it, and some characters were entirely forgettable, but it did have its good parts here and there, as I found myself taking quite a liking to certain characters.
- Chaos system really missed the mark, with one death making the difference between high or low, rather than different characters and killing methods having different weights (e.g. killing a civilian is more punishing than killing some random gangbanger, or burning a man to death is more punishing than killing him in his sleep)
- Going nonlethal can be very boring, repetitive and tedious. Even worse, the game constantly dangles cool weapons in front of your face all game but...
- Going lethal/having fun is strongly punished, with it leading to the bad ending, as well everyone around you generally acting like a bit more of a prick even good ol' Samuel ;-;
- Even though there is a wide variety of gadgets and powers, most of them are close to useless, with your trusty sword being far more effective in most situations.
- Voice acting is laughably bad, with the laughable part being completely non-hyperbolic. Even though it can provide a bit of unintentional comic relief every once in awhile, it quickly grows stale.
- The game is way too easy. Even on the hardest difficulty, the game offers no challenge so long as you avoid conflict.

Final verdict
If you value gameplay over narrative, Dishonored is your calling. I loved the hell out of this game and have played it multiple times over, and still open it up every once in a while just to experience the streets of Dunwall once more. However, that being said, if mindlessly assassinating guard after guard doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, I suggest you look elsewhere.
