I've played this game for a while now and am finding it hard to leave. Is it perfect? No. It has it quirks and bugs but then so do all games.

If you want a game to create your own character then this is not for you. You play a character that has been established in several books and 2 previous games so you can make choices of how to respond but not essentially change who your character is. If you don't want to play the 2 previous games you don't have to, the game will fill you in as you go but there are videos of the stories to watch on YouTube if you want a bit more background.

The game is heavily story driven, so if you don't want dialogue and cutscenes (make sure you read those books you find) again this is probably not for you. What you do get is a world to explore along with that story and characters I certainly have come to care for. Don't rush this game, if you just play the main story then you will miss so much. Some of the most memorable quests are secondary ones. So take your time, explore along with the story and expect to spend around 200 hours on a playthrough with the Expansions (get the GOTY version - it is worth it).

If you are someone who likes taking screenshots then the game is beautiful, and nVidea Ansel will give you more control than the basic steam screenshot with 360 degree and super resolution. Just watch your hard drive space!

Oh yes, and don't skip the tutorial, take your time there to learn how the combat works, most complaints that it's too difficult are due to rushing or skipping the tutorial!
