I bought this game twice. That's how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good it is. If you havent played the first, I recommend playing that AND THEN playing this! The sheer amount of effort and playtime required from the players and developers in this series is insane and they never miss. I've never found a SUPERGIANT game I didnt like!

I'm not even kidding, this has to be the literal BEST mascot horror I've ever played so far. Kept me on edge, had me falling in love with the characters and their quirky personalities. Rambley's song at the end was really sweet and was full of wonder and love that it kinda hit me in the heart strings a bit.

Characters are amazing, rides are fantastic, the park's scale and design is INSANE. BLATANTLY A PARODY OF THE DISNEYWORLD parks, The first encounters of danger were VERY POWERFUL AND LEFT MY MIND WANDERING. I was also so intrigued that I 100% the entire thing (all collectibles) in my one and only playthrough.

Don't spoil this game for yourself. Hop straight in and push through the dark. I promise you'll see exactly just how much of a Diamond in the rough this game is.

And Rambley? You'll see me again soon, don't you worry big guy. I'm willing to see this task down to the very end.

This game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥' sweet they shoulda called it Diabetic Factor.

Joined a match. Immediately screamed at and called slurs by russians. Auto-correct is currently requesting I add a capital R over there, but when your region is known for being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Barbarians that cant do anything but shout and taunt literally anyone whether on your team or not and then resort to calling someone a cotton-picking slave and so on, I don't think you've garnered a slither of importance. Having been a tester for this game in the past and enjoying my time, I don't think it's worth paying for something like this, Even with a sale, where:

1. People cant be arsed to work together or split up/collaborate when the arsenal you're given DEMANDS teamwork.
2. The Community is super loud and annoying. It's either Balding russian men or kids.
3. Half the lobbies are NOT dead, but you WILL be kicked out of them. No votes needed most of the time.

You need to have filters or moderation tools, official servers and also something to keep trolls at bay. I would rather rewatch the Chris-Chan documentary in VR, a scene of him bumming his mum included, than play this absolute ♥♥♥♥ fart failure of a game, destroyed by its community.

You have all the dope designs and yet somehow the most anal prolapse community ever.

it's aight, I Guess.

I thought I'd been playing for an hour. It's been 6 hours. it's THAT good.

Okay so. The best way to experience this game is having an idea about The Truman show and its concept and then going in blind. I had a wander-ful time (pun intended) experiencing what was essentially a new format for an interactive movie/show/story. The humor was great, the intensity of certain moments were fantastic, Trevor was hilarious and Angela was just awesome to play as. I honestly think the studio did an amazing job on this! If you see this game and are somewhat interested in it, I urge you to play it. You get 1st person moments, 3rd person, 2nd person, you get puzzles, you get minigames, everything feels like an intense and humorous spy/escape movie and it is FANTASTIC. The Twists n turns and characters are phenomenal. For a fun story based adventure? easy 8.7/10

Oh and if someone tells you this game looks "cheap"..? ♬Don't be a fool~♬

10 hours in. I've played difficult games before, but this is my FIRST SOULS GAME. Having played Bloodborne with a friend a little bit previously, this game is definitely a mix of Bloodborne and the classic tale of Pinocchio. It also has lots of dark, dreary tones, but in a REALLY grim n mean way, sorta like the Alice Madness series. Combat is tough, sure. I was worried it might be too tough...But...Honestly?? It's only as tough as you make it. You can swap weapons, take the blade off a handle and replace it with a different blade...make your own weapons, level weapons up, upgrade your character, etc.

In terms of art, action, characters and all, I'd rate this 9/10.

ADVICE FOR NEW PLAYERS/THOSE NEW TO THE GENRE:

- START WITH THE "BALANCED" loadout, first. ALWAYS EXPLORE and take your time in battles. Practice the perfect parry with 1 enemy at a time, next to a Stargazer (Campfire). Make it a habit to do this and you'll SMOKE enemies. I don't want to give you a loadout to copy, as you wouldnt have your own journey, then.

HOWEVER, I will say:

- As one of your weapons, just to deal with electronic/robotic puppets better, use the ELECTRIC COIL HEAD and HANDLE as one of your 2 weapons. It'll help A LOT. If you want even more range on it and find a wrench weapon later (assuming you find it), use the wrench handle as a base and the coil head as the blade.

Oh and one more thing! Sometimes there's an easier solution to taking down a Mini boss! Such as the Puppet of The Future in the factory! have a good look around the area! (No spoilers~)

For those interested in this. Play it. It is an extremely grueling and painful journey to bring back the one you love. There is a technical permadeath, but it's hard to get. The game was initially confused with being a God of War clone. I can confidently say that it is NOT. Nothing about this is like god of war. What this is is a souls-like PunchOut with mostly linear pathing but some fair exploration. Accurate and absolutely brutal creatures and mythos, etc. The game also lets you find Nordic stories and reads them to you.

When all seems lost, do not give up. Just because you fell on your ass, does not mean you have to stay there.

Storywise: 8.7/10 A grim, dark tough reality and tougher burden.
Gameplay: 7.5/10 Fair amount of puzzles and absolutely devious combat. You're constantly outnumbered and have ALL odds stacked against you.
Visuals: 11/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the detailing and all for a game released in 2017.

All in all: 8.8/10

My friend ran down a hallway on one of our first ever runs on the game and was so scared that he violently brapped down the hallway and it literally echoes throughout the facility. I have not cry laughed so hard in a while. A few moment later the laughing was replaced by screams and cries for help. 11/10
