This game is incredible! Many recent negative reviews are because the expansion/DLC isn't free, or because the developers are working on multiple projects at once. This unfairly taints the game, and besides, the expansion is incredible too! The developers release significant updates on an almost monthly basis, and minor updates throughout the month, as needed. This game is not abandoned in the slightest! Even though this game is in Early Access, if the developers walked away from it today, it would still be an amazing game with a large community of players and mod-builders. You start the game with no resources other than a loincloth and your wits. You gather basic resources, make clothing, find food, and fight or tame dinosaurs and other animals. As you gain experience, you are able to construct more complex/advanced items. These make some things easier, but then you are going after bigger opponents in more dangerous places. You can play solo or on shared servers, working together or competing against other players. The graphics are beautiful and very immersive.
