Nihilumbra started off as an iPhone game that I loved and enjoyed for its story telling. It is like a metroidvania puzzle game that is linear. There are no branching paths like a true metroidvania but story is of more importance than gameplay. That being said the gameplay is well crafted and all the puzzles are solvable with minimal intrusion, this is not like early point and click adventure game puzzles but more of an actio-adventure sort in 2D. The Steam version has an added art gallery and full voice over. THe voice over is nice but is not needed, though having played both versions it was a nice addition, but I still think the voice over work is more like a director's commentary and shouldn't be heard the first time around. It is one of my favorite indie games to come out in the past year or so.

So yes, buy this game for the experience. It's better than Limbo, and about as good (if easier) than Braid.

I have decided to go through my games and play them one by one and complete the badges and write reviews. Also, throw in some TF2 in for good measure
