It ain't perfect, but it has a lot going for it. *NO SPOILERS!!*

In short, everything is great(story, world, characters, timeperiod) if you discount enemies being damage sponges, grinding combat and having less parkour centered locations that in previous games. I recommend getting it on sale without DLC's

Rating 6.8/10

Positive

-Great story
-Excelent voice acting
-Well written characters
-Great world design and ambience
-Plenty of historical information to go with the world
-Combat is difficult if you like that kind of stuff, you will get oneshot at max (played in max difficulty)
-Nice skill tree with plenty of variety for your engagement style
-You can get absolutely every microtransaction skin/weapon for free by doing daily missions, if you're in to that

Negative

-Mid modern day
-Combat. It tries to go for a fast souls like aproach with witcher mixed in, you charge weapon powers and generally flail around
-Assassinations. Your hidden blade is treates as a weapon with which you can't fight, you have to upgrade it for it to do something, plus it only works in stealth
-Enemies. You might have two identical enemies but one is level 30 and the other level 5, the only difference is the damage output and how much damage they can take. You can go right through them and barely scratch the health bar
-Level up general rpg system. If you don't level up you do next to no damage to the damage sponges
-DLC's are not worth it, if you're max possible equipment level just add the crafting items to your inventory

The story, characters and world really carry this one, I recommend getting it on sale without DLC's. 6.8/10
