Early Access Review
It certainly has its fair share of problems. I never really lagged, but sometimes my shots just wouldn't register on stiffs. It is definitely early access and needs way more content and maps. Preferably some character customization and stuff as well.

Game is way too early and needs more time. For $30, its just no worth it

I stand in solidarity. Sony jacked it up again.

No HDR Support
No HDR Calibration
Poor Ultrawide Support
No FOV Slider
No Gamma adjustments
Game is completely green and grey washed
No DLSS
Poor optimization (low fps even on top hardware)
Tons of color banding
Far too many loading screens
Inventory management is abysmal
Planets are barren
POIs are reused way too much (identical)
Weight system is poorly implemented
several clicks and loading to trade gear with companions
AI is absolutely trash
Space fights difficulty spike is drastically different and unoptimized

7 years of development, nothing really new...

If you can look past all this the game is decent, but you shouldnt have to buy a $70 game and expect mods to fix it...the game should work well and be balanced.

A decent BR game that runs as well as your 90 year old grandma does on a hot summer day.

Super poorly optimized and all it seems that the devs care about is making money by mass producing on all systems and selling cosmetics.

An absolutely amazing sequel to an already great game.

This sequel was vastly improved from the original Evil Within. Graphics are updated, Difficulty was more balanced around nightmare making it an extremely fun challenge.

This game offers around 15-20 hours of gameplay along with a NG+ mode and a classic mode that offers and even more extreme challenge for those achievement hunters.

Highly recommend playing this game! Absolutely loved the story and hope we can support tango enough to get an Evil Within 3.

Honestly, The game runs ok for me after unlovking the frame rate, which shouldn't have been locked in the first place, except for a few crashes and slowdowns.

I just want to say that despite the issues, the game is very good and very fun so far. I have a lot of faith that the devs will fix this and bring it up to par.

What deeply saddens me though, is that games like this are developed primarily for the consoles and the PC is left behind...The PC, which by far shows truly what games can really do, and helps lead the world in developments of technology especially when it comes to the gaming market.

I still recommend this though, especially once the game is fixed up.

Let me be very straightforward with you. Everyone ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and crying about this game FAILED TO READ WHAT THEY WERE BUYING. Here are some key points to be made:

1. The developers stated multiplayer will be coming soon after retail release...it does not currently come with the game.

2. The micro-transactions people are crying about are just skins in the game...WHO CARES. Play the game as intended or buy skins. It's your own decision...quit crying.

3. This game is episodic, QUIT CRYING THAT THEY RELEASED IT AS EPISODIC. YOU KNEW THIS FROM THE START...WHY BUY IT IF YOU WERE GONNA JUST CRY!?!?!?!

4. Lastly, Many of the people crying about frame-rate, etc.. are playing on laptops....GET A BETTER COMPUTER OR PLAY ON LOWER GRAPHICS...

Anyways, as for the game; for a port, it is pretty well done. The graphics are pretty decent (above mediocre) when set to max settings. This can also be improved in your 3D graphics control panel. This game is Episodic in nature, which means, you will play the games chapter and need to wait for the next one to be released. I for one enjoy this style of games. It keeps the suspense and hype going, almost like watching a really good TV show. The gameplay is pretty in depth and has some very fun and unique mechanics. Combat is pretty smooth and fluid. There is a leveling skill system in the game as well which adds a nice touch, especially if you choose to play again in a different way. So far I can highly recommend this game as being fun. Of course, the game is short being an episodic game, however, it is only $25 in total and well worth it.
