Combat is super fun but I could do with less Abbey time. My biggest complaint... in the second half of the game you run into more and more jank. I've had characters dropping through the map after doing a move, enemies models standing around after being defeated (no game impact but annoying/confusing), and random texture issues. Could be my CPU but the game ran excellent and was mostly bug free for the first 25 hours. Creating manual saves takes progressively longer as you progress in the game. Near the very end of the campaign it would take up to a full minute to hard save. Speaking of saves... the save slots are far more limited than I expected for a Firaxis game.

Again, combat is Way more fun than expected. Once you unlock all of the characters and most of the cards it starts to stagnate again but that's how XCom was as well. I'm excited for the next Firaxis tactical game but I hope we don't see more of this title. Midnight Suns is fun and unique but the story is obnoxious. Wayyyy to much hand wringing.

No spoilers but the final cutscene was a bit underwhelming. The total story is very generic (or maybe it just went on too long).
