Performance fix: Game location>DyingLightGame_64.exe>disable full screen optimization & use dx12, game is very well optimized long as you do this.

Parkour is better than D1 imo, more mirrors edge feel, but the combat feels weak, there's a physics mod on nexus but it's still not as good as D1 which is quite disappointing.

Blast mods for weapons was a very good addition, if they just kept D1 physics and added more blast mods & a few more combat abilities that would've been acceptable tbh.

Story characters constantly coming in & out of frame in this weird choregoraphy, it's like you are schizophrenic exploring zombie city with imaginary friends and hallucinating the characters, constantly popping out from behind doors & cupboards etc & then walking out of frame and disappearing like ghosts, idk whether to laugh or what, it's absurd.

Aside from that it's pretty fun, the combination of parkour, level design and scale of the world makes for cool moments & aside from the Lawan character I thought the story was actually pretty good, especially the level design.

The epilogue happens abruptly, I was sort of expecting another chapter where you fight the renegades with the PK/survivors and THEN go after Waltz but that doesn't happen, you just take one location and then go straight into the epilogue, kind of jarring. I guess there was a bunch of cut content there or something?

+ Graphics & sound

- AI issues such as:
AI reacts way too fast
AI runs at you
AI runs way too fast
Your teammates don't scan their surroundings

What the game is badly missing is body location damage for kneecapping, hold F to loud shout civs, mod support, lunge to avoid wallbangs, team cam for opti-wand, swap equipment with AI and JFC please.. a search & clear command so you don't have to walk around for 20 minutes to find evidence you missed.

Performance on some maps can change quite drastically too, I don't think the LOD's are finished mainly on crackhouse map.

The animations seem a little slow too, like 15% slower than a real person would actually move in real life, bit sluggish.

Overall I think this is better than the original, it has been simplified a little bit but I think enough care has been taken to keep things enjoyable.

One huge negative of the game is the dialogue, the original had funny radio announcements everytime you did something but in this you just get a very simple & boring cutscene at the end of each quest-line, this has been my biggest disappointment so far but everything else is decent.

Minion AI is a lot better, you don't lose thousands of minions to your own traps anymore, graphics & animations are pretty good & being able to choose lair maps with different features & stuff is great.

This one may not be as replayable as the first because quests are a lot more linear, you don't get a bunch of missions to choose from essentially you just go down one path depending on the villain you picked, since more content has been promised I think a DLC that allows you to branch through different missions is pretty essential.

The game is pretty much exactly what you would expect, bug-free, runs well, good graphics, improved gameplay and in exchange a little bit of the soul of the original is lost.

Update: Late-game dialogue & cut-scenes do get a little better actually. Way too much playtime cause I left it running in background.

Struggling to understand what they spent 8 years doing.

The graphics assets would've taken a year, engine updates maybe 3-6 months & the current build has less features than were shown in 2016? Why couldn't they release that build 4 years ago?

Edit: There has been a decent update everyday so mm it's looking better.

Make devlog on community hub, list exactly what features will be added and when.

Singleplayer is good but very unbalanced atm.

Haven't had any performance issues whatsoever, maybe some people had problems but this seems to be a better port than GTA V so I'm not sure why everyone was complaining.

Played +20 hours of this in EA.

Amazing concept, decent execution, reminds me of startopia.

The art style makes it so anything you build looks good, kinda weird but cool.

The AI is actually decent & competant & not completely, hopelessly, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded like the disappointment's of spacebase & such.

Not sure why everyone is mentioning Rimworld, totally different games & I love both of them.

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible, it's like Fallout mixed with Factorio mixed with KOTOR mixed with a million other things, it transitions from RPG to RTS to City Builder seamlessly, it's a multi-genre indie game that does most things better than triple-A games that only focus on one genre.

Update: 22/12/18

It's a shame that some of the things promised in the description aren't fully implemented and that there won't be anymore content updates.

Well, you kinda need mods for that.

Nonetheless this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic game.
