Two Point Museum is the formula of its predecessors, distilled and refined through polish and evolution of its mechanics and themes.

For example, in Two Point Hospital you could improve the mood and performance of your staff by decorating their workspace so that it gave them an environmental buff. Most people just picked the gold star award and wallpapered the entire room with it to get the maximum environmental rating and call it done. In Two Point Campus, your decorative items suffered from diminishing returns to their environmental effects after being placed three times in the same room, which necessitated you at least use a few different things to dress up your campus. In Museum however, you have synergy with your exhibits. Each exhibit has a certain amount of buzz it provides for your guests, but to maximise its capacity to produce buzz it usually has a decorative requirement; a fossil may want a fossil decal decorating the space next to it.

The game also flows much better than its predecessors. Previously, each hospital or campus would have a limit of 3 stars you could achieve for each, which provide bonuses and rewards for completing them. Once you had achieved this, you were pretty much done with that particular level. Museum locks potential star capacity behind your overall curator level, which can only progress as you complete objectives between different museums, even if the goal is as simple as 'get a 2 star rating across 3 museums' before you reach the next curator level.

The visual style is the same Nick Park's Wallace & Gromit style as previous games, but graphics have noticeably improved; lots of nice little touches like reflections in your gleaming museum marble floors bring more depth to the look of the game.

There's still so much I haven't even begun to cover but here's the TL;DR -

If you enjoyed Two Point Hospital, Two Point Campus, or even Theme Hospital before that, then chances are you'll enjoy this. The devs have really put the effort in to polish what works best in their games, and it shows.

Most of the levels are pretty challenging fun to get through, but I found the bosses too difficult. Perhaps they have some kind of gimmick or method of beating them, but I can't figure it out.

I looked up videos people posted on how to beat bosses, but they were incredibly cheesy and I feel that goes against the point of the game. Gave up on the guys in the raided town who double team you.

I learned of this game from one of those thievin' bastard websites touting the PIrate Edition.

Soon after I bought a copy and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll have to revisit to see if I can do better on another playthrough.

If you enjoy point n click adventures with some choose-your-own elements, I highly recommend a buy. Bonus points for being an Aussie product without being over-the-top cringey about it; you won't find any Paul Hogan knife size contests or shrimp barbecues here.

I recommend this game with the caveat that it will waste your time, freely and with great abandon.

There are myriad instances where you will need to grind out schemes on the world stage to complete a goal, only for your next objective to be the exact same grind. This is magnified towards the endgame of the campaign.

THE campaign, not A campaign. I do not differentiate between geniuses, as their dialogues and scenes between goals are repeated verbatim. If you've seen it once, you've literally seen it all. Just pick whichever genius you like the stats of the most.

I mainly recommend it because I'm one of those suckers who fondly looked back on EG1 despite all of its janky mechanics (like leaving the game on overnight to steal all of the world's money before you finish interrogating the maid) and was hoping for a faithful remake with some modern day polish, much in the same way I did with Two Point Hospital, and despite the aggravation of having to kill time waiting for schemes to complete only to replace them with identical schemes, I had a decent time plotting out my lair and managing my minions.

To summarise: wait for a discount. Or get War for the Overworld unless you really, really want the spy-thriller aesthetic for your dungeon builder game. Or Two Point Hospital for a rework of a classic management game with a polished look and DLCs.

Fall Guys is a pretty fun take on the Battle Royale genre that makes for an entertaining session with friends. However, as of the time writing this I cannot recommend a purchase as the game has fallen victim to cheaters who can simply float through obstacle courses/races which really just puts me off playing.

Who wants to struggle through Seesaw races and sit through memory square sessions when some skiddie can just float up and steal the crown in the final?
