I've played games for a lot of years. In that time, I've argued with people from every branch of life. I've argued with people who like FIFA, COD, CS-GO, LoL, Valorant, Fortnite, GTA, Battlefield, Apex Legends. I've seen people who never even heard of Outer Wilds, Hollow Knight, Subnautica, Portal, Terraria, Celeste, Journey, Enter The Gungeon, Bloons Tower Defense, OneShot, Rain World. I've seen people say that EA is great, FPS multiplyer games are the best, Minecraft is for kids, Rocket League is dead, Undertale is pathetic, even heard people say that Dark Souls should have an easy mode.

It hardened me to the sheer capacity to spew nonsense that so many people seemed to possess. It was the internet, after all; I learned to expect it. After all these years, I thought myself entirely apathetic to the process; I truly believed that I lacked even the slightest expectation of coherence in my opponent's arguments. Destiny, however, had reserved one last disappointment, one last letdown, which I found today seeing what you were playing.

They say that you don't know what you have until you've lost it; today I learned that despite all I've been through, one small spark of hope remained in me: a hope that one day, against all odds, I wouldn't come across people like you online. And you, in an awe-inspiring display of bad taste, managed to extinguish it entirely with only one game.

There is only one small comfort I can take in your actions, in that they prove I was right to be an atheist: no benevolent god would ever have allowed such an atrocity to be committed. This is an unfortunate revelation, as religion was the first thing I turned to after seeing you playing that game. Indeed, your horrifying attempt at quality entertainment has entirely shattered every worldview I knew of, serving as such an irrefutable counterexample to natural selection that science itself has been entirely discredited.
