Here's a good review for someone who played since late 2013:

To summarize it all up, Warframe is a GREAT game.

2013 Warframe was a bit tedious and it was the last time I saw those "old systems" existed (like Void Keys, old-school Star Chart, UIs, etc.)

It was a bit harsh for me, as a newbie trying out the game. The game is really in-depth and it will definitely consume you a lot of time just to learn the things in this game. It's like reading a book, except you can skip pages just to get to the point of climax in the story.

To correlate what I just said, yes, THE GAME IS FULL OF GRIND but it's not painful and tedious like 2014 version of Warframe. Now, it feels so much better and really good. The grinding in Warframe feels very worth it and every amount of time that you spent grinding feels good and encouraging. HARD WORK PAYS OFF, we all know that phrase.

"...except you can skip pages just to get to the point of climax in the story."

Well, if you are pretty much a casual and busy in real life (or in other games), you can just skip the grind and buy the stuff you need (via in-game market or Prime Access).
Oh, well I can spend money on Warframe just to support the devs for their hardwork, but sometimes I get that feeling that it gets boring because you just bought the stuff you wanted and you don't want anything else. I mean, that's fine to buy stuff, but you know what I mean.

Going for the SYSTEM itself:

Well, the game is MOSTLY focused on PvE (yes, there is actually a PvP feat. Lunaro, like soccer or something). You'll get to encounter massive waves of enemies with different factions you can fight on. I won't go deep since it will spoil the in-depth learning curve of the game.

The places (which the game call them nodes) are randomly generated (via tilesets) that depends on the planet you're on (if you're on Uranus, you'll encounter a lot of underwater parts or in Pluto, filled with snow). At first, it's pretty neat to do that, but as time goes by the tilesets and the sections of the tilesets will really seem familiar to you and you would probably feel "Oh, damn, it seems repetitive at this point." That's fine for me, since I will still be amazed by Neptune's sunset view. c:

But, really, in order for you to appreciate the game more, you should embrace the system itself. Some games show off the BEST parts of the game (so-called HIGHLIGHTS/FEATURES). Warframe is surprisingly hiding the GOOD STUFF in the later part ( *cough* THE SECOND DREAM/THE WAR WITHIN *cough* *cough*).

You'll encounter few glitches, but they are and will be fixed on patches.
Again, the system in Warframe is SO DEEP you really have to spend time and patience to learn them all (if you're up to that). From the mods to void relics, you have to learn how to use them if you want to get stronger and better at the game.

Now, going to the UI and customization:

UI is fine and minimalistic, not that tedious on the screen and they look simple.

Summarizing the customization in Warframe: SO CUSTOMIZABLE. From the colors of your frames, the skins of your frames, attachments, et cetera to the type of ship, color of your ship, interior of your ship and YOU CAN EVEN PUT NOGGLES IN YOUR SHIP. Damn, it's so amazing that you can customize ALMOST EVERYTHING. Fantastic, right?

Post-Fortuna updated review:

I've finally reached 1000+ hours in the game (well, my Steam hours doesn't say it because I sometimes play on an independent version and not on Steam) and I'd say it's doing very good.

Fortuna is enjoyable, yes, but as of now, I'd say that it lacks a bit on the replayability in these open world areas. A lot of old features are either not yet reworked/revamped or fixed, but I still do hope that they will focus on those soon enough.

K-Drive Hoverboards are awesome when you're in a moment where you are not in rush, but when you are (especially when doing bounties and the areas are like above 500m), you will definitely use the archwing still.

A lot of things have been released, like Sanctuary Onslaught (almost in the definition of end game) and Arbitrations (almost end-game, but the rewards aren't worth it for the veterans, but are worth your time for those who need a certain resource called "Endo" and some mods ranging from useless to VERY DAMN USEFUL).

To be frank with you, after Gara's release, the new warframes are... well, mediocre and okay. Maybe they will work on improving them, probably, but we'll see.

If you want to comment about my review or correct me on either my review or on the grammar/spelling/comprehension, feel free to comment. Enjoy the game!
