One of the best games I've played in a long time.

Early Access Review
It's a sci-fi shoot'em up game where you'll end up dying no matter what. Lots of interesting ways of play with many characters that changes play style drastically. Definitely a game you want to play with your friends, preferably withing yelling distance.

8/10 only because there's no rain.

This game was so good, I felt bad that I didn't pay for it.
4/4 for the characters, top notch.
3/3 for the story.
1/1 heart left feeling confused, sad and wanting more.

Would recommend.

A simple game, that gets perpetually difficult. It is like living in a sci-fi drama, waiting for the next terrible thing to happen to your crew. Be the captain that you've always thought you were, then be the person who ends up slaughtering everyone over and over again.

10/10 would die again.

This game starts off simple and easy. You do well, killing monsters as you jump above them, shooting/slashing/bombing them into a new level of hell. The time ticks on, you think, nay, believe that you are doing well. The big boss comes after the first level. You leveled up, you're decked out with new gear. You feel invulnerable.

The boss crashes into the soft ground, body parts everywhere. You are triumphant. You move on to the next level. Yes.

Then it starts to go to hell. You explored to long, you took to long to find the portal to get to the next level, you didn't get the right gear. Looking at the timer, it has changed.

Everything starts to change, things are faster. More monsters pop into existence, they are bigger, badder, hungrier for your naive flesh. Bodies piling, you are struggling to keep up against the onslaught. Soon you're no longer shooting, you are jumping, running.

You see the portal, activate it, then hold your breath for a minute and a half. Then you only hear the sound of a few dozen monsters coming down on you.

You died.

You start the game again. It's simple and easy....

Remember how you use to play poker with a big beefy sociopathic Russian dude, two egotistic midgets (one thinks he's funny, and he's right, the other doesn't wear a shirt), and a nerd that wants to burn all your Apple products? No?

Oh okay.

Remember how you owe money to a bunch of scary dudes with metal pipes (which you suspect has contracted tetanus) because you suck at Texas Hold'em? Yeah?

Okay well since you have no friends anyways that will play with you because you have debt deeper than Kanye, get this game.

These fellas won't judge you (until you put money down on the table), and will only berate you on your ability lose money at poker. At least they don't have pipes.

Want to see one of the games that set the standard to what an indie game should be like? This is a time-based puzzle. Manipulate it to solve the levels. The story is surprising and cleverly tied into the game. The art is beautiful, the puzzles always just difficult enough to leave your head scratching. It's easy to get to the end of the game, but to solve all the puzzles along the way is another challenge.

One of the most innovative puzzle platformer. 1-3 hours average to complete the game.

This game gives us the ability to experience death defying dangers with absolutely no consequences by turning back the clock.

Warning, does not turn back time in real life. Try as I did, I could not get that kid to go back into his mother.

If I was blind, I'd love the soundtrack and voice acting. If I was deaf, the visuals would take me back to a gritty noir style of the 40s that's contrasted by the violent colours of the 80s. If I was stupid, I would not be able to enjoy this. If I had a wish, it would be for a sequel. If I had more money, I'd buy another copy, or fund the next game. If I could recommend a story for you to enjoy, it would be this game.

Go buy the game. If I could, I would put a gun to your head (or mine) just to get you to play this game.

It's a simple story, man loves woman, she gets kidnapped, you save her by fighting evil. Simple controls, intuitive, and very responsive. There's no confusion, everything is clear cut and you barely give off any sweat. That is for the first part of the game.

This game ramps up in difficulty as you soon get familiar with the movement, combos and controls. Does it stop ramping up in difficulty? Yes, after you beat the game. There's something in there from a range of genres. It's at time a complex puzzle game using game mechanics that you thought you were familiar with. Sometimes it's a gauntlet of enemies that you punish yourself for careless moves. Other times it's a Super Meatboy precision-esque platformer that can frustrate you, yet give you that burst of euphoria when you pass a certain stage.

It's a 2-4 hour game to just finish the story. Extra 1-5 hours of the optional bonus stages and maps.

The multiplayer portion is greatly to be desired for. It makes the game more fun. It works smoothly and allows for a shared adventure that is no different from playing by yourself, except of course, you have someone to share the memory with.

There's very little one could ask for to make this game any better.
