It's clunky by today's standards but a good early example of an accessible, easy to open and play western rpg.
Effortlessly funny game with TONS of content and an immersive world.

This is my favorite game in the franchise. Specifically this Remake. It's fun and stupid. The QoL improvements over the first game and modern controls make for such a better experience of what was already an iconic and campy romp through a Scooby Doo mansion.

Just one of my favorite games of all time. One of the easiest of the franchise, good for a new player. A little opaque, unpolished, and unfair, but if you like new Soulsbournes I recommend coming back to play the OG.

Feels more like Assassin's Creed than Dark Souls.
Side-questing is a must or you'll be under-leveled, which is incredibly tedious in such a MASSIVE game. Most bosses and areas are just copy pasted versions of early game content which gives the game a samey feel. Really easy to make busted and cheesy builds, more fun to blast past the game the cheap way which, is overall a letdown for me despite how entertaining and rich the experience can be.

Best worst game ever played. Modded it to have the OG Dreamcast graphics but haven't played the normal remaster yet. Don't intend to.

This game is kind of comically terrible but charming in a way I can't describe. Game came out in '98 two years after the first fully 3d game on home console (Super Mario 64). It's pretty impressive considering what was out at the time. It makes incredibly daring design choices that don't always work, but I personally admire.

Playing this through early access. It's a fun take on the ghost hunter genre, but has tons of bugs so far.

I really prefer the item shop to Phasmo's as you pay for upgrades and new gear and never have to purchase something twice or lose them after a bad run. It feels like your levels and progression really matter.

I'm sure this game is great if you played it when it came out but it incredibly hard to play by today's standards. It requires troubleshooting just to run on Windows 10. The controls are overall very clunky and unwieldy. The dialogue and plot is shallow in comparison to more recent western RPGs. It's over all not something I would recommend to a new player that wasn't a fan of classic western RPGs, Star Wars Prequels, or Bioware games. The most rewarding things I think I found in this was simply finding interest looking back at what games were like almost 20 years ago.
