it has flaws, it leans on procedural generation a bit too much and it doesnt always work, and the tickets kind of change the atmosphere and make you feel more like a ticket hunting gremlin, but it captures the feeling it set out to capture, and when it wants to it gets really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ creepy, id say it was worth the time and money.

this game feels like busywork for your hands? but not in a bad sense, i kind of just grabbed it on a lark and when i got around to it i kind of just zoned out for 2 hours straight before stopping. i, i dont understand why i finished this, but i think i enjoyed it?

get it, its good, throw on like a podcast or something in the background.

a pretty good followup to west of loathing, the humor's there, the combat's more or less the same bones, pretty solid.
if i had to complain about something it would be xp becomes somewhat useless outside of buying repeatable perks.

not sure if this game got a lot more flak than it deserved at the start or if its been monstrously improved, but its an incredibly engaging like looter shooter with plenty of choice in how you handle combats and encounters, would definitely recommend.

i cant really recommend against this game, but i have a couple points against it.
you can kind of tell a lot of the open world is just kind of pointless, its especially noticable when you start doing yokai hunts and its just kind of doing the same motions as the side stories that introduced them, the combat is also rather simple? idk after about an hour of having all three main weaving types you more or less have the idea of combat for the rest of the game.
that all said, its still a really fun game, its just a little samey, and tends to overstay its welcome at times

one of the reviews i read said the combat was simple, so i went in thinking i wouldnt like it, and admittedly it is pretty simple but it has yet to detract from how incredibly enjoyable this game is

the game, is fun

the game does really well in progress but it has the odd issue of, if you try another run, or simply look back on what youve fought, it starts to really stick out how little is actually novel in the game

its still a great game in spite of this, but you can very heavily feel the re-use required to make it into a "filled" open world

romping about zeta halo is fun, but feels stale somewhat quickly, the linear missions are really fun but also kinda suffer from being samey, overall its not a bad experience, but i dont know if id say its something worth dropping full price on

stay off of heroic and legendary, for your own enjoyment, vehicles are paper mache in this game and heroic and legendary make that VERY apparent
