TLDR : excellent game, repulsive compagny behind it.

Set around the beginning of the End Time of Warhammer Fantasy, this game is about slicing, crushing, piercing, shooting unclean vikings and disgusting ratmen. The story itself is simple enough, forgetable but it doesn't matter since the character we play and hear interact are extremely enjoyable and endearing :

-Kruber, hat collector extraordinaire, drunk and best boy all around
-Saltzpyre one of the very few fanatic that doesn't become annoying after ten minutes of listening to him (he has mild disgust for janitors based) and is much more than meets the eye
-Bardin the dwarf being joyful but still a grumbler
-Sienna a grandma crack/fire addict which is both the most and the least mature part of the band
-elf

The gameplay is a viceral and audibly violent, you hear and see limbs getting cut, and it never ceases to be satisfying. It is hard to master but feels great once you get the flow going. Helped by an excellent sound direction (except when it doesn't work but we will get to that later) and by an intricate system which has much more mechanic than meets the eye while not being totally a chore to learn or necessary at the lower difficulties. That game is for weird shut-ins with no life and body spray as much as it is for casuals wanting to mow down hordes of vermins with friends.

With a system of 3 classes each (4 if we count the dlcs classes) it's hard to get bored or repetitive, the free DLC chaos waste adds also some story, character growth, banters and a rogue lite system (for those pissing on it this dlc is restricted to its own thing so no need to piss in your pants and ruin it for the rest).

Now the negatives :

The current state of the game is great but this has been born in pain, a few years of bugs, dev incomptence and missmanaged by a compagny that has more contempt for its playerbase than the Iron Warriors have for their trench diggers (if you want to know how it is just look at Darktide).

Adding to that the fact that class dlcs and their cosmetics are on a separate bundle you get an idea of the priority but still.

So go grab it on sale, that way you won't lose much.
