Gambling but without the losing your house bit. And despite how much you can rig the game, on unseeded runs, it'll always be up to luck how well you do with the jokers you find. Would recommend, have recommended to everyone I know.

Genuinely my favourite game of all time. I couldn't afford it for a while, so I played quite a few hours on a friend's PC. Finally bought the game a week ago and it's been awesome.

I've dreamed of a faithful Dungeons and Dragons game since I was 10 years old and this is everything I could've wanted. Great story, great room for creativity, great graphics, super replayable, really faithful to the system (not entirely RAW, but perfectly captures the feeling of DnD), the list really goes on. My mates are sick of me ranting and raving about how much I love this game.

I've seen a couple people complain about how it uses 5e, but it's my favourite edition, so it's just a bonus for me.

10/10, one of the only 2 games which has ever been on my wishlist. I hope to play this game for years to come.

My god, this game is genuinely beautiful, 10/10. I have recommended it to all of my friends. I have the DLC, which is a lot on top of the base price, but that's one of the few minorly negative things I'd say about the game.

Pros:
- The story is so good. Deeply hopeless, but life continues on whether it's wanted or not. Past mistakes that caused great harm. A lot of hidden lore to find if you look for it and studiously bring it to be studied. And if you don't care about all that, haha funny scug do flip.
- Everything feels very natural, this world truly does feel like surviving as a small creature near the bottom of the food chain. Enemy AI is done quite well, with most creatures feeling unique and you develop strategies around them. Seeing them for the first time is a great terrifying experience. Sometimes they trip and fall or get stuck, sometimes they fight each other. You aren't the main character (well, you are, but man it almost never feels like it and in a really good way).
- Movement system is unique and a lot of fun to learn
- The world is absolutely beautiful, the style is completely on-point of this post-apocalyptic lonely world
- The game is super frustrating at times, which sounds like a con, but it makes learning so much more satisfying
- Heaps of content* (much more with DLC but the base game story is still great)
- Beautiful music. It's on YouTube if you're curious, but it also fits the style really well and is just a damn bop.
- More that I've missed, it's just such a good game. I could rant about it for hours. If you have the money and have bothered reading this far, absolutely get it.

Cons:
- Some controls are a little unintuitive (like holding down and tapping shift to drop something which unfortunately ends with a lot of items dropped when trying to grab something while sliding down a pole)
- Sometimes the game does feel unfair, just because you get unlucky with where the creatures are. It feels more natural, though, than having them all follow set paths.
- Occasional bugs like falling out of the map (irritating), lizards rarely failing to path and spinning (funny, can be excused as a lizard behaviour) and an asset or two on my scug's body not loading (was a tad distracting but I died before I started worrying), but nothing that ruins the experience.
- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RAIN DEER. HURRY UP (thankfully these fools are confined to only a few areas in the game).

Great game, really chill, fun, wholesome and overall pleasant. Good vibes.

It's an awesome game. Not 2D Minecraft at all, if anyone's here to check that. It has its own style and is lots of fun, so I'd definitely recommend to others. :)
