Kind Words (Lo FI Chill Beats to Write To), is built on an interesting game concept: write something nice, kind, positive to someone out there on the world or more so, someone else playing the game.

I'd hear of the game in passing on Twitter, Reddit and on occasion, it would pop-up here on Steam. Well, I decided to drop 4€ on it and see what it was all about and if it really did stick to concept of just being kind.

When you first enter the game, you are greeted by a deer that is on their first day of the job: delivering letters and asks you to write a nice pick-me-up letter to start and well... Once you write a nice letter for a digital deer, for them to feel good, it might make you crack a small smile or chuckle and then you get to the meat and potatoes of the game.

You enter your room, with your bed/couch, your desk and radio (playing of course,
Lo FI Chill Beats to Write To) and from there you can view requests, send requests, check your inbox or just say something nice.

Requests: At any given time, someone within the game, will post a request and you might get to see it, along with a handful of others, all confidential. Ranging from someone just not feeling happy or nervous to some really heavy topics, such as having lost a loved one.
Here is where you can reply with honest sympathy and compassion or if it something more of a problem looking for an answer, you can reply with a hopeful solution.

Now, you are not obligated or stuck to reply to anything, if you realize that you might not have something helpful, you can simply cancel your reply with no problems and if the request in question is a possible issue or spam/harassment, you can report the request as well and it well be handled.
This whole process works both ways as well, so if you've got something to say or want to get off your chest make a request, off it goes and maybe you'll get a reply or a few back.

The verdict: it sticks the landing and is a nice break from the ever gloom and doom on-goings, especially at the current state of affairs as of posting this, which is during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it also feels nice to send something nice to someone and hopefully make their day or at least pick them up from the dumps.

My 1st level to upload: It should be fair to play and a bit on the short side, but hopefully it is enjoyable. Feel free to let me know if there are any problems, while playing the level!
