There are many retro throwback shooters that hit the mark. Sad to say, with what admittedly little I've played, this isn't one of them.

It's not even the gameplay itself, the game feels pretty good, it's everything surrounding it.

The menus are clunky, the reloading is clunky, everything is just so clunky.

It's raw, and needs updates before it ever becomes worth 15$. But based on what i've seen, it'll sadly never become what it could be.

Best city builder on the market, you want fun? you want frostpunk.

Is Doom 2 good?

Some people might so no to either of these, but we all know they're wrong. The current unity ports of the classic Doom games are probably the best experience for purists. They come packaged with plutonia and the like but I'd say pick up doom 2 if you have to choose between this and the Ultimate Doom. It's fantastic. The characters, level design, etc. All great

GZDoom is still the best way to expierience it but if it's your first time. I definitely recommend the unity ports.

Fantastic on a first playthrough, the story is great. resources are just limited enough on hard to force you to get creative. Just generally very nice. if you're a fan of shooters pick it up. As a remaster I can't say much becauase I've not played the original but I can say it looks FANTASTIC. The world of rapture is definitely worth delving into, at least once. Completely worth the price of admission, you can get the whole series for like ten bucks when it's on sale, keep an eye out for that.

A reinvigoration of the classic Boomer Shooter shadow warrior, Lo Wang feels like less of a racist stereotype and is even more of a character than he already was. The action is fantastic and the bloody action of the boomer shooter isn't lost. 10/10

I think everyone knows this game is good by now. I can go into why but I real quick just want to say to this day I have no idea how they made this system work. Like, holy crap. My only complaint is it's a little short. I've finished the game in 6 hours and being frank I feel like it took me longer than intended. Definitely good but I'd wait for a sale to pick it up. Worth every minute I played tho.
