Phantasy Star Online 2…..Originally this game was released for pc back in 2012, however, the game was region locked back then so access to it was quite troublesome. After some time, to be specifically around 2019 they decided to bring the game outside the Asia market, and thus the global server was open. Big thanks to sega for doing this!! Now I know this game looks like a typical action game. HOWEVER, the true form of this game is a fashion simulator and storage management LMAO. You’ll know what I mean when you reach the end game. Now as for the breakdown of the game:

(+) Story aspect was not bad
Story-wise it’s quite enjoyable in certain episodes, like episode 1-3 was quite entertaining for me. 4 though….it’s a total snooze fest that one. Didn’t enjoy that part one bit. I'm currently working my way through ep 5 and all I can say is, so far so good. Looking forward to finishing ep 6.

(+) Tons of fashions to try on
Go crazy boys/girls! Go make your dream waifu/husbando. You can tweak around with almost everything the only limit is your imagination!

(+) Definitely no pay to win aspect
Since you can breeze through most of the content there’s no need to spend any real money in the game unless you want to take that extra mile and exert your dominance in the game which you can still do without paying albeit will take a bit longer to do.

(+) Game requirement is potato pc friendly!
(+) One of the most amazing character creation option I’ve seen so far
(+) Quite a lot of events and things to keep you invested in the game
(+) Some pretty good OST

As far as I know, there aren’t any game-breaking bugs. All is well if anything the only thing I want to complain about is probably the inflation of the player market……just gotta suck it up I guess and farm even longer lmao.

On a side note, I suggest watching some intro guide on youtube before jumping into the game, saves you a lot of hassle along the way. That’s just my personal opinion though you can still enjoy the game without watching them.

So did I enjoy the game? Hell yeah, I did!. Since it's quite an old game I can run it quite fine on my sort of potato PC. The game got everything! fashion? check, action RPG mechanic? check, min-maxing gears? check, and so on. Even tho I loathe gacha mechanics, I don’t need to worry about that cause we’re still able to get those items through the player market though the price could be a little steep not to mention the recent inflation in prices due to cradle farm…..my god those prices….rip mesetas. All in all, it’s a solid game that’s very friendly to the players with all the giveaway the devs been giving out recently not to mention a graphic overhaul is coming soon! Do give it a try I'm pretty sure you’ll enjoy it.


As much as i love the game the current NGS update could be summed as unfinished and a tad annoying due to:

Server overloaded
Because its overloaded, the server experience spike regularly. This is a huge blow for me because it hinder the game play so bad. Imagine fighting a boss and then the spike hits and after it calmed down you're already dead. Yea it happens.

Error during on salon
Careful with this one as it happens randomly and i have no idea what trigger this. When it happen you'll get error message and also lose you customization progress. sux.....

Combat feels a tad sluggish
This is just me, I could be wrong but this is how i feel during combat. Combine that with the server spikes yea....

So far that's what i feel about the state of NGS, but im not changing my stance for the game, since i feel like there's alot of potential for it and it's only been 2 days since release there're bound to be bugs here and there. I am just pointing out the current issue that the game has. Hopefully they fix this.
