Great remake of the classic flash games. Hope to see more of the series in the future.

Found this game through SimpleFlips' new on Steam series, played the demo, fell in love with it and got some people into it.

Easily one of the best speedrunning games.

I can't believe a game about mantises discussing their relationship is so well made and emotional.

Imagine taking everything good from DOOM 2016, significantly improving upon it, then cranking it up to 11.

Very good.

Only complaint is the occasional audio issues where certain sounds are muffled/muted, or it's like one part of a sound is louder (like an audio equalizer was used or something).

Let me preface this by saying: this is my first Far Cry game (excluding a few hours in 2).

This is a great game. Everything from the visuals, the cult story line, the over-the-top action, polished mechanics... all of it is fantastic.
The world map is split up into 3 regions with each being overseen by a cult member, and you have to liberate outposts, save civilians, and earn enough Resistance Points to face and defeat said members. The side missions are actually fun, and the story missions are even better. Combat is is actually somewhat realistic with enemies dying in just a few shots (but you can also die just as easily early on). You can do missions to recruit people or pets to fight alongside you. You can be stealthy, or you can go in gun blazing. The character customization isn't amazing, but you can definitely make a cool looking character. There's a nice assortment of weapon attachments and skins, as well as land, air, and water vehicles, some with weapons.

You can also go fishing.


8/10, would recommend.

If you like Cave Story, or Metroidvanias/platformers in general, you'll really like this game. I recommend playing the first 2 games which are free on itch.io. They aren't as good as this one, but they're short and sweet, and have great music. Hoping I can play the next one soon.
