I like the artstyle and soundtrack, but the writing is pretty heavy-handed and not very deep, especially in the DLC. Also, "Stress" turning into Jeff The Killer and having an anime fight with the protagonist's consciousness just felt corny.

The art and soundtrack are a massive step up from the last game. I honestly barely understand the endings but they definitely made me feel something. 9/10, the 1 missing because you can't name yourself something ridiculous like "StupidDrug" or "Vicodin"

Wouldn't it be more like milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag? Is she stupid?

It's SO good. Magdumping an AA12 into a Fleshpound and scoring headshots with a crossbow never gets old. Besides weird hitboxes (you basically need to aim for the chin to score a headshot) and jank stuff like not being able to cancel reload animations, Killing Floor still holds up and still has active servers as of 2025.

Got it for less than a buck on sale. Overall a mediocre game, all things considered, but the soundtrack rocks.

The plot is frankly ridiculous, even for a yakuza game.

Locking new game plus behind dlc is EA levels of greedy.

Other than that, great game.

Can't say I'd recommend this game, especially since the first game is superior in pretty much every aspect. Endoparasitic 2 is three times longer than its predecessor, and most of that length is contributed by boring, repetitive levels, many of which should have just been cut. You'll be fighting the same boring zombies and limbs for the majority of the game.

There's only three weapons even though Endoparasitic 1 had four of them. Not only that, they're just less fun to shoot because you don't feel the pressure of manually unloading spent shells. The stun gun was at least interesting, because it felt like a balanced version of the first game's crossbow fitting in the "unlimited ammo weapon" archetype. It can't kill on its own though, so you really only have the pistol and the shotgun.

Speaking of weapons, ammo is not very hard to come by, but there are TOO. MANY. PENS. Pens are used for crafting ammo, but nitroglycerin and nitrocellulose (also used to craft ammo) are rare. This leaves you having to leave dozens of useless pens in the elevator to rot. I get that pens are easier to come by in the world then explosive chemicals, but this game isn't exactly meant to be realistic in the first place. These extra pens should either be removed or replaced with items that are actually useful.

A lot of the time things are "spiced up" with levels taking place in the darkness. The darkness mechanic is not scary, just annoying. Your vision is already extremely obscured for most of the game anyway, so what's the point?

Also, there are moments where the game forces you to try and solve a door puzzle while an invincible enemy (the hydra) is trying to murder you. Again, this is not scary, just annoying and obnoxious. I had to take a screenshot of the puzzle and pause the game to solve it without being chased by the hydra (which is also not scary. It looks like a hedgehog with tentacles.)

There are effectively no bossfights throughout the game except the final one, which is just a boring bullet sponge. It only has 1 phase and occasionally summons zombies to fight for it, and you get infinite supplies before it making all of your stockpiling meaningless.

Nothing to say about the story, really. The voice-acting is great as usual, but there are too few audiologs spread around. The game just feels barren, and the plot goes absolutely nowhere, other than the vaccine being a dud and Luce dying, absolutely nothing happens plot-wise. A real disappointment to wait 2 years for.

Endoparasitic 1 made me want more at the end. But while playing Endoparasitic 2, I was just begging for it to be over. Just play the first game and don't bother with Endoparasitic 2 unless it's on a deep discount.
