So lets look at payday 2, the suppose heist simulator that you can play with friends. I will review the game in a pro/ con style and end the review with my final thoughts.

Pro:
The heist are for the most part simple so it is easy to pick up and remember, nothing too complicated.

Each difficulty feels pretty challenging to which i mean if i do overkill i can not necessarily one man army it, it requires some team work to succeed.

The music is amazing, i really like how the songs have a hype moment and a cooldown. Not only we get visual cues to when an assult ends but we have audio cues.

Has tons of builds that players can make, want to be a medic who can be a tank well you can, want to be a tech who is also a dodger well you can.

Loads of guns to be used, some are good and some are not so good. Yes alot of the guns are hidden behind dlc but the dlc is pretty cheap for like $5 and maybe around $1 on sale (do not hold me to that).

Enemies are varied based on heist and difficulty which helps players who are new get into the game rather than throw bulldozers at them or cloakers at every turn. Theres also russian enemies, thugs, regualar cops, swat, heavy swat, claoker, 3 different types of dozers, snipers, tazers, dw team, and zeal team.

The ability to fix up your safe house. Sure it isnt amazing since sooner or later your safehouse will be the same as anyone else if you put in the effort so dont go in expecting to change things to make your place more unique.

Free safes. This is a very subjective thing that the game had which was microtransactions. If you got a rare safe drop you had to pay money to open it. Here that isnt the case, you can open it for free and if you get something you dont like then sell it in the market to get some cash back.

The game gives the ability to stealth. That is big since in payday 1 stealthing was near to nonexistent because if the enemy saw you stealthing is over. Here if you get seen theres a detection meter to which alerts the player that they are being detected.

Con:

Some dlc are bad, yes i am looking at you chilvary pack. It was not worth the $5 that was being asked. Sure you get some masks that are at best ok looking but the weapons were not that great at all.

When stealthing, especially on higher difficulties it is very frustrating to player follow the leader with a tied up civilian but that is when the game is being kind. Alot of times the civilian will walk a few steps and then drop straight to the floor. This begs my question to why can i not just grab him and carry him to where i want him? It would be so much easier and less stressful. They could code it to make the movement when carrying a civilian very slow to not make things too easy.

Mayhem difficulty is currently super broken. The spawn rate are oddly high, for an example you are playing a heist and the alarm goes off. Around like 2mins after the alarm goes off you get swarmed by cops. The assult waves never end, if they do it is for like 1 sec. This is difficult in the fun way where i am challenged but rather it makes the game a slug fest because i have to push through never ending waves. The break times are what makes the game feel that the player has a sense of control, a period of time to regroup and make a plan on what to do with the time they have.

The game feels like it is referencing too much too quick. We have john wick, point break stuff, goat simulator stuff, chivlary stuff, and more john wick stuff to come. Can we spread the references out more? It feels like they are advertising which is ok since i liked the john wick movie and want to see point break but it gets a tad overwhelming.

Conclusions:
Payday 2 is a great game regardless of what alot of people may say. Theres been a rough moments, some that last longer but it is a functional game that you can play with friends and chill. I constantly play it with friends and play loud heists and many of those times i get lost in the game. We finished all the objectives and we are just there killing cops mentally unaware of our current objective status. I am a stealth player probably a pro stealth player and i find the issues dealing with stealth to be a pain so i hope that they can do something to fix that.
