Maybe it's a dream; maybe nothing else is real..
But it wouldn't mean a thing if I told you how I feel..
If I opened up my eyes there'd be no more going back..
'Cause I'd throw it all away, and it all would fade to black..

Skyward Ataraxia __φ(..)

An endless blue sky filled with so much despair,
Where sparkles of hope feel like fresh breaths of air..
Drowning in the music that keeps us going and strong,
An echoing chamber with different shades of the same song..
The winds of time that carries all of our troubles away..
How beautiful this endless blue sky, that leads us astray..

( ^▽^)ψ__ Hardship

Ship happens to the best of us, we can't always stay afloat.
Just try and seas the day and get yourself back into that boat.
So whenever you feel like you're sinking and drowning in pain..
It's aboat time you start to Warship some AZURU RAYNE! o(*≧□≦)o

Counterside: Global Offensive

Not to be confused with the iconic FPS everyone knows in case the name sounds too similar to some people. With more than 854 hours playtime, you would think this game is long due for writing a review on, especially with how much I'm in tune with it. But as it goes, I just generally don't write reviews for games whether I like them a lot or not unless it really warrants one and I just happen to be in the mood for it. And with this game being a gacha-game there's going to be mixed commentary on it regardless of what I say. But let it be known, that it's not my or anyone's place to convince others to change their mind and play the game. Take any review with a grain of salt and especially mine as I do tend to emphasize the good over the bad unless there's a big shift of balance between the two.

Never Gonna Gacha Up, Never Gonna Gacha Down..

It's a gacha game, what more is there to say. Take that as you will, but I'm going to gloss over most of the pre-conditioned opinions people tend to have about the genre. Yes, there are micro-transactions but no it doesn't feel pay-to-win for the most part. But I know that will be very subjective to each and everyone as the definition of P2W nowadays seems more widespread than ever before. I will just shorten it down by the fact that there is no inherent paywalls to progress and that cash mostly translates to luxury of skins, more materials, and possibly more pulls for awakened banners (which is your SSR+ tier units) than the usual weekly/monthly tickets you gain over time. There are of course packages and value deals, but it should come to no surprise really. At least there are no zerg of random pop-ups, breaks or ads that will try to get you to buy some value-town time-limited deals.

Progression and everything can be gained through just playing over time, as it is with most gacha games. There will be an influx of things to do in the beginning and gradually flatten down to where you'll need to grind a bit to get over difficulty bumps and doing your daily activities to get more efficiency out of your units, squads and save or prepare yourself for new updates and content.

Combat is basically just 'tug-of-war' in a real-time setting, where you wait for deployment points, time your units and ultimate skills. Or let's face it, mostly have it on auto where all you need to do is just set the order of deployment to make logical sense for the type of squad or battle. And after '3-starring' the stages just skip/sweet it for purely the spoils. Simple and time efficient cause any 'gacha gamer' knows how tedious daily activities can get within the genre.

Not much more I can say to anyone who is already familiar with the gacha scene. Personally, I am liking the game very much for just the setting and lore which feels very reminiscent of Arknights. Especially with how grim and melancholic most of the stories tend to be. It's all neatly packaged into a stylish looking game with it's flashy skills, cool OST, real-time battles and combat sprites that aren't deformed chibis of all the badass waifus and husbandos. There's no need to get dupes for limit-breaking your units, and they nowadays just serve as 'potential' small stat upgrades like in Arknights. And I would really emphasize that system over the too mainstream 'constellation system' of Genshin Impact because most people will know how overpowered and imbalanced those can be to the point where dupes will feel necessary to make a unit viable even.

Really every time it gets brought up amongst gacha players, I would always refer to this game as a combination of Arknights meets Epic Seven combat, with a little dash of Azur Lane perhaps. For the most part, the team behind the development and publishing of the game feel pretty in touch with their community in terms of promoting the game and listening to feedback of any newly released content like the big overhaul to 2.0.

I know there's a lot of players that might beg to differ with me on this, and I'll say I can understand and agree to a certain point as even small changes can feel negative already, let alone big overhauls. But for me personally, this game just hits the most if not all of the sweet spots of what I want from a gacha game and I have good faith in the team behind it to tweak and update it as it goes. I would definitely put it up with the other notable 'friendly' gachas like Azur Lane and Arknights and wish nothing but to see it grow in splendor.

If nothing else, it it to be said that it still is free to play, free to try and free to quit if you don't like what you see.

Either way it's still a 10/10 for me in all consideration of it being a gacha game.
Counter-Terrorists win.

Let's face it, there's so many NSFW games at this point that they sometimes get easily hobbled up as just being glorified picture and animation galleries with substandard game-play. Which makes me say it's all the more pressing to point out the ones that are actually good; hence this review.

Point & Flick RPG/SLG

I can't put my finger on the exact term, but it plays a lot like the point & click games of old where you progress by looking for clues in the form of keywords, phrases or pictures that help you progress through the story. I would say the clues were reasonably easy to understand and figure out what to do or try next, but it can definitely be subject to personal experience for people with different mindsets when it comes to puzzle-solving/thinking.

Visuals and Overall Feel

Both the CG as well as the pixel art and animations are very well done and arguably some of the best among the plethora of eroge I've seen and played through. Movement, transitions and interactions all feel smooth and polished without much if any clunkiness. Overall, it's a great quality experience for it's genre.

Nitty Titty Gritty

For the most part you'll be wandering around finding things and people you can interact with and look for clickable parts or keywords and phrases that are often highlighted in blue. Either clicking them or automatically (if it's in a conversation) will add them to your log where you can look them up for reminders and/or to figure the next step; which can be as simple as looking up the keyword on the in-game search engine on your PC or doing something at certain times of the day or locations. There is no time limit like in typical dating sims so you can spend as much or as little time as you want to finish everything without worry. So even skipping full days of work has no negative bearing on your progress.

Days are divided in 4 part: morning, afternoon, night and late night; and each part only transitions to the next after performing a chore for money, resting on your bed or just simply pressing the 'next period' button. Other than that, there's only a few very specific interactions that also advance the time.

There's no need for saving and loading whatsoever and even after a 'game-over' it just loads right back into the same day whilst often even retaining the items/actions you performed before the trigger. I have spent a lot of time just grinding through the chores and hoarding money in the beginning to feel I'm being optimal, but even this in hindsight was quite unnecessary in the end if you're thinking of 100% completing the game. Cause in the late/endgame getting money is just as simple and carefree as the significance of the time of day.

Story and Setting

Probably the biggest determining factor for the less degenerate among us. And I think the game's name is already a good implication of what you can expect. From it's voyeuristic name to it's vulgar dialogues and choice of words it's truly not a game for the faint-hearted. Though I personally question how small that number must be among this fine culture of players. And yes it does feature scenes and themes of NTR though bear in mind you are playing as the big bad perverse chad protagonist that doesn't give a rat's ass cause he ascertains total domination and control. What a deviant~
So be warned or enjoy the ride.

Conclusion

A big fat yes for any and all degenerates/gentlemen alike. A big fat "ask yourself if you're in the right place" if you can't stomach it's depraved and vulgar setting. Nevertheless, it is truly a BANG for your cucks bucks.
