Requirement of a PSN account is complete crap, for a game released on Steam. GOW 2018 didn't have this requirement and was a wonderful port.

This one is quite laggy and even though I have a pc that matches the recommended requirements, lags are something that I cannot play with.

As good as this game is (seen only from Youtube), the lack of proper optimisation discourages buying imho. Wait until some sale, as will I after refunding.

This game just keeps crashing. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 + Radeon 7600 + 16Gb ram with a gen 4 ssd yet this keeps crashing. Refunded. If anyone knows a fix, please let me know, I'll get it on sale if possible. Ubisoft is showing themselves to be a more evil company than ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Abstergo.

I'm going to garner a lot of hate for this but here it goes:


Assassin's Creed Unity is what an Assassin's Creed game should be, gameplay-wise.
This is one of the few Assassin's Creed games set in History. This is the penultimate title to be released to follow the pure formula for Assassin's Creed franchise before the RPG era. With combat and parkour refined to the pinnacle of possibilities, this is a challenging and enjoyable game that no other post this could reach the capabilities of.

Pros:

• You might have seen a lot of videos on YouTube complimenting AC Unity's parkour system and let it be known, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. From common trick animations like simple vaults to complex ones which are rare to find like the monkey vault, you'll be running around Paris finding every thing you can hold Free-run Down to and jump over.
  
• The last game to override certain conditions from pulling out weapons in public (Just hold attack button and you will unsheathe your weapon) to one of the most needed mechanics in the parkour system: the Wall-Eject. This game gives you the feel of an Assassin, which is what AC Mirage is trying to bank on, wanting everyone to put on their nostalgia goggles.
  
• This game also has one of the core mechanics which I never thought I would possibly miss until I played AC Odyssey on my friends PC, the Assassinations. By this, what I mean is, no matter the enemy difficulty (1-Diamond to 5-Diamond), your assassinate ability would insta-kill them, allowing you to rely on that mechanic more than you would believe. In the RPG era series, the assassinate ability will not completely kill an enemy if your attack is not high enough.
  
• The most-densely populated map in the Assassin's Creed franchise, let me be clear, Paris is beautiful. That's it, experience it for yourself, since my words will not do it justice.
  
• Freakishly amazing cutscenes. The motion capture for the actor's models and Arno and Elise's faces is the most beautifully created cutscenes ever. From having actual direction, you can see some areas blurred during conversations and some areas heavily focused upon, allowing you to get indulged.
  
• The graphics, for a game released in 2014, the beauty of this game cannot be accurately stated by my words. The baked in lighting makes all the difference as compared to global illumination, allowing everything to look As it was intended
  
  Cons:
  
• The story is weaker than the predecessors and as most people point out, the French Revolution was a huge moment in history and this game could have capitalised on it better. It isn't bad in all means, but there is a lot of room for improvement. Plus side, the last speech is some of the best ever.
