Recommending Stacklands is a somewhat difficult proposition, as a result of the very real possibility that one may find the idiosyncrasies it brings to the table, frustrating rather than charming. With that being said, I enjoyed it very much, and will certainly play further if more content is added.

The central difficulty in both recommending Stacklands as a product, and in the game itself, is its use of space in an organic (and thus hectic) way. The player is constantly trying to keep the "table" organized by stacking related cards, or those they plan on using together, but it's a Sisyphean task by design; more cards are plopped onto previously organized space via the opening of packs, the production of your villagers (I affectionately call them meeples,) or the stampede of creatures pushing other cards out of their way.

if it weren't for the constraints of time, and of place, Stacklands would be a very simple resource management game. However the additional element's of physicality make this a chaotic and interesting way to spend some time, even if it does not have a ton of content at the moment.

In conclusion, I recommend it if you don't find the idea at it's core to be a frustration!
