I really wanted to like this game. The concept is really neat and the gameplay seemed cool.

Check out the forums for the rundown, which are just droves of bug reports that make the game kinda unplayable as presented. Many of which have no presented workaround. Mainly holes in maps that drop the player out of the world and issues that wreck your trunk's inventory.

Bad times, man. I'll come back to the game after a few updates and hope for something better.

UPDATE: Some time I later, I came back to it. Nothing has really improved, but I wanted to play through the game this time. Definitely faced a handful of glitches that caused me to replay segments, but I did make it.

The story is super minimal, the backstory of which is presented solely through a handful of documents you stumble into. You drive, you rest, you drive, you run outta gas, you walk, you drive, you rest... it goes.

And the ending, ! uhhh.... first off, the ending glitched on me and wrecked any kind of intended impact it was supposed to have on me, showing me an unrelated snippet of document and trapping me in an inescapable situation. Clueless, I had to research what the ending was supposed to be like, and eventually saved and exited, came back and got the real... uhhh,,, Ending? Suffice to say I was underwhelmed.

The game's fun in its own way, what with an economy of sorts to try to game in order to upgrade your car, and there's some driving and a decent bit of exploring and scavenging. The gameplay is there! it's good, even.

The mess of bugs and the complete lack of developmental support really make this game just... kinda bad? If you can get a steep discount and can put up with the bugs, go for it, I guess.
