Interesting tactical battles. Counter your opponent and try to one-up them.

Learning unit combinations and counters is important, while also learning to predict what your opponent might do.

A fun little survival adventure game.

My favorite part was the cooking system. I wish more survival games used cooking systems like this. Instead of having to click a recipe and check if you have the ingredients, you just pour up to three ingredients into the pot and mix them together to make a meal. If you mix together special ingredients you get a special or better meal, and you discover cooking recipes by experimenting.

Combat wasn't that interesting. Only reason to ever use melee weapons was if you ran out of ammo for your ranged weapons, which you will do all the time since there is no way to mass produce ammo without a lot of grinding.

The building system was fun enough. There wasn't much reach to expand it to any major degree once I had lumber.

There were a few times during the game where I had to lookup where to get the item I needed for quest or crafting recipe.

My main issue with the game was the grinding for resources. And most of all the final grind for the last two achievements.

The controls are clearly designed for a controller or console, which makes it annoying to use on PC. There were some bugs and minor issues too, but they didn't stop me from playing.

Not sure I would say it is worth the price, but if it is on sale or in a bundle it can be a fun game for a few days.

I have played Hazeron and followed its development for 10 years. So this game is rather norstagic and dear to my heart.

The game might have some rough edges, but it makes up for it with complexity that you rarely see in other space games.

You start on a world with barely anything. You gather basic resources to handcraft some equipment and then search for a place to start your civilization.

You will construct your first city one building at a time by hand, until you begin to have citizens that can run the workshops for you and complete the construction work for even more buildings.

You will develop your civilization until you can manufacturing space rockets and spacecraft so you can travel beyond your homeworld.

Hazeron has seamless travel from the surface of your homeworld and to any other world in your solar system. The only loading screen you will encounter is when you load into another solar system.

The celestial bodies of your solar system have real orbits. Space travel is newtonian at first, but some futuristic gravity drive will make travel easier.

Travel to other solar systems can be done without FTL, simply slow boating it to the destination star. But traveling with one of the FTL drive options will get you to your destination faster.

The universe is massive. Each star in the sky can be visited and they are procedurally generated. You will even find ancient megastructures.

The game does however have some flaws, and won't be to everyone's taste. You can design your own spacecraft and buildings, but the designer will take some getting used to. Unless you like exploration and expanding your civilization, there won't be a lot to do in the game after a certain point.

Most of all, my favorite thing about this game has always been following its development and engaging with the community.

The game doesn't have window mode.

Just feels like a console-port.

I enjoyed this game a lot. I wanted to finish the singleplayer story, not really because it was super good but because it was so screwed up. It is the perfect example of a Hollywood sci-fi action movie where all the characters act in the stupidest ways possible in order to have more action.

The Humans have advanced AI and drone technology, yet instead of just allowing those expendable drones to get blown up and try for a peaceful first contact with an alien civilization, they murder hordes of the Beta aliens for no reason whatsoever.

The Grey Goo is the only faction that makes total sense in the story. Grey Goo doesn't care about lives, it just cares about growing, and it can't communicate even if it wanted to.

I guess the game wouldn't be so bad if you like the multiplayer, but I would not recommend it for the story.

Entertaining enough for a while.

But the game is a clear console port, controls are designed for a controller, you never have all the information you need available at one time and have to go between submenus.

The first two or three solar systems are interesting and exciting. But after that it just feels like power creep, you need to have equally good equipment to the enemies or you are screwed. To get this equipment you need to either do a lot of trading between stations, which is where my complaint about not enough information available comes into focus. Or you need to do a ton of combat missions which will slowly take the fun out of the combat.

If you don't mind the grinding of money to upgrade your equipment in each new solar system you enter, this game is gold. But I wouldn't recommend it if you are one to get tired of grinding the same missions or trading over and over again.

A fun little game. Almost feels like a board game, which makes it sad that it is only a two-player game.
Most of all it is a nice simple game and shows som fun elements.

The game is a little laggy and gets slow after a little while. I don't know if this is my computer having an issue or the game. I might have a high tolerance for slow/laggy games.

Graphics are very basic and not really impressive.

Music can get annoying after a while. Sadly there is no main menu option to disable the music, you have to enter the help menu in-game to turn it off, evey time you start a new game.

FarSky is not a long game, at most take a day or two to finish. But it is pretty fun for the time.

Eco takes the basic cube building mechanics, made popular by Minecraft, as the stage for a deep player-driven economy and political gameplay. A simulated ecology that is damaged as players advance and exploit the world, causes debates between players that want to keep it alive.

Eco is not a simple gathering, crafting and building game. The game is meant to be played with a group of people, either friends or strangers. It is meant to spark debates and make you want to make comprimises.

When playing with friends you know, you might lose out on a lot of the economy and politics gameplay. But some of you will likely prefer this type of experiance.

The real game shows itself when you are playing with strangers. You will all value resources and items differently in trade, compete for business opportunities and debate world politics on how to prevent ecological disasters.
