Game is much better now, despite enemies being able to burst you to death quite easily(especially above hard). The skill system gives freshness, some are questionable(useless) but overall; having the ability to carry more loot bags, is a quality of life that should have  been from the release.  I don't like that they made M1 Garand unable to one hit kill headshot common(helmet) enemies(regardless of difficulty) but maybe that helped me understand how powerful the snipers are.
Be wary because the game can get quite hard especially outdoors or exposed areas.
l will keep my previous review, as the general substance is still there.
It is a well done effort and if it is a team that took the wheel from someone else and cares about the game, then blessings are in other and can recommend this game if there are players. If not, consider waiting for bots mods.  Hope they add "wait" command on the bots and possibly carry loot
Still, congratulations are in order for the amount of effort went through, it is playable.
A mindless, unforgiving, or unfair  shooter that tries to appear or be something but, in reality, is nothing.
At first glance, it looks fascinating: the cutscenes, the dialogue, and Hitler getting angry differently each time you complete a mission.
However, everything falls apart from the moment you notice the gameplay. It is a "shooter" where enemies are aim bots, have crazy reflexes, and are swarms of them—literally a lot of them. And obviously, add unfair snipers to the mix and higher damage/health on each difficulty and you have the recipe for distaster.
This problem appears when you play Hard and above; the same applies to Normal, but to a somewhat lesser degree. Still, the fundamental problems are present regardless of difficulty. You don't have some type of regen health that is passive(like recover to 50% health); you get easily outmatched on open fields (because of near-perfect enemy accuracy and surrounding you); your weapons are useless beyond medium range and those stupid aimbot enemies have overwhelming numbers. A battle of attrition, and the favor is on the enemies, not you.
The game is very "gamey", unrealistic to a fault. Enemies appear almost instantly after an alarm is raised, regardless of the difficulty; you can't smash through certain objects while driving because the script must be followed;  the game loves to be tedious by forcing interactions with objects over and over again (truck repair); moving bags of gold beyond 4 bags; passing through suicidal exposed areas without any different route.
Arbitrary missions have objectives that go beyond normal numbers when you go above Hard. Enemies surviving tons of headshots, forcing you to use certain weapons to progress with less pain.

If you have played Payday 2, then you know what you are getting up to. It is all the same deal here.

I am genuinely surprised at how the developers haven't improved on making the game fun. The fun is only for a short while. You need 3+ players(Solo is no-go) to make the game somewhat fun. The enemies are a nuisance, as stated multiple times. Missions that are enclosed are your best bets because of how the AI works. Any open area is  a nightmare for you(especially Hard+).
I'm convinced that the developers don't value the player's time or their own(player's) enjoyment when it comes to gameplay and making games fun. Your choices are very limited if you want to succeed in missions.
The formula is ruined; I won't ever play any games from these developers.
They might have created good presentations and improved some gameplay aspects, but all  they have done is make 2 steps forward and 30 steps backwards into a circle, into a loop that punishes you each time you play it.
Its performance is slightly improved, but it still has crashes that can happen at any time. As I said, 2 steps forward, 30 laps. My games can be frozen, with program not responding and forcing to close through the task manager.
I have enjoyed the game for a short while. However, I can't just keep playing on Normal or hard (alone is a deathwish, player count is low, so good luck having fun). It becomes quite clear that fun quickly disappears, especially when there are few weapons and equipment. It all feels the same: you only have a select few weapons; others are pointless because they actually hurt you mentally and are copies of each other.

The game is supposed to be easier and less tedious on solo but people never design games on solo in mind.
In my list of coop games, this game(and any game from the same dev aside from Payday 1) would not even be ranked. I would advise to avoid it. Even for 2 euros or as a gift, it is pointless.

Hi, Thank you for the review. I think this is fairly accurate for the current Update 21 release of the game.

We have an overhaul that has been in development for a considerable amount of time that reworks enemies, weapons, player skills, player progression rates, crash fixes and so much more on-top of that. Please consider giving it another look when Update 22 is released!

- Cheers, from the M.U.G team.
