Its a game thats easy to hate if you've played previous skate games. Glad its on pc, but I would purchase a emulator-tier port of any other skate game and play that instead if given the option. Only redeeming quality is that this corporate cash grab only sells micro-transactions (currently).

This game whiffed hard, I go into every GGG poe1 version with low expectations; nothing was different for poe2, after hearing they would be their own individual games I immediately curbed my expectations and spotted the fall off in quality from both games.

They lost the ball; misunderstood why their grindy games were enjoyable to play for thousands of hours, took away the speed, build diversity and consequently fun, and all we're left with in this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ isometric snail-paced game doomed to have only a few viable builds every patch.

Id recommend playing poe1, but thats on its last legs too due to the poor management of GGG.

Buyer beware;
The game still has bugs, if you're on a beast of a machine you will probably be able to fix all of the bugs you run into. If you're not running the latest and greatest you will probably regret the purchase and ultimately refund.

The gameplay was fun, if they do more bug patches I will probably pick it up for real.

Whilst it's lacking in some areas, compared to Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter World:Iceborne. The combat is brilliant, Wirebugs add alot of versatility in how the game can be played.

Online is meh, the questboard is region locked, you can't search for a specific monster to hunt and have a variety of quests appear, you can only search to join a specific SOS quest which makes target hunting in online extremely difficult, your best bet is to join someone else's online lobby and ask to hunt what you want.

Even though textures have been updated in some areas, in others they were updated poorly or not at all, most notably the hub water textures, and background mesh maps look Ps2 era graphics, other then those very few examples though its a very nice looking game for a switch port, It's also pretty well optimised, it runs better then monster hunter world.

Get it while its on sale 8/10
