Marx ideas are kinda right, I believe the ruling ideology or hegemonic one mostl benefits the ruling calss. But I dont belive it is forced upon from tthe state as Mannheim mentioned every social group has ideologu and it is a natural socil prodcut, calss, ideology is asically a set of ideas ad belifes about the world and how it shoul b governed and every indivual have them on some level. Gramsci's ideas are very compentent within our mdner world and its political framework, in western countries the ideology is forced upon us in any raw power form, it is mainted through cultural ascpets like media.
