Xeodrifter is a small 2D metroidvania platformer.
I'm gonna start off by saying that it crashes in certain aspect ratios, I played in a 1200x720 window, that worked without problems. Bigger did crash for me, but I also didn't try them all. The way the settings/menu is done, feels weird. Its not in the game itself, but looks more like an emulator in which you use the menu bar at the top of the window to change settings. It also only has an On/Off setting for volume example, so its pretty bare bones, gotta use windows settings to turn down the volume.

The game itself starts off a little on the harder side I would say, because of trying to figure out where to go first, also lots of health and weapon powerups are hidden away, so you could be running around the map much weaker than you should be! The more you find, the easier the game gets, aside from the bossfights imo.

The enemies in this game will mostly just walk their path without noticing you. So its very simple, but I still had fun running around, trying to find all the things to collect, getting stronger!

I wish there were at least a few more checkpoints in this game. You need to absolutely save on your ship, or all progress is lost. The checkpoints that you do get, are before and after every bossfight, but they also won't be saved if you didn't go back to your ship to save after defeating one.

I liked the bossfights a lot, the design isn't crazy, but the way they build on top of each other was kinda nice, but the last one was the easiest one for me, after having lots of upgrades.

All in all, cute good little game!
