An oldie but a goodie.

One of my favorite Roguelikes of all time. And yes. I mean Roguelike and not RogueLITE. This is an actual game that mimics the mechanics of the old-school game Rogue. The thing that sets Dredmor apart though is its humor. Dredmor is exceedingly funny. Whether it's sacrificing massive stacks of lutefisk to a hedonistic fish god for forbidden magic tomes or playing a run as a super saiyan vegan, there's always something to get a chuckle out of.

When you start a game, you pick a number of skill trees to level up. Every time you level, you gain a new passive or active skill plus some stats from one of your trees. The number of skill trees is enough that over a hundred hours of play, you will likely not have seen all the fun combos the game can offer. Add in the workshop content and you have yourself one of the greatest bargains on steam at 5 dollars.

If you can tolerate the game's clunky interface and dated graphics, the price is a real no brainer. You won't find any game that gives you more time for 7 bucks out there. I have a joking metric for determining game cost and worth. "How many Celestes and Hollow Knights is this game worth?" Like I said. It's a joke. You can't expect every game to have as good of a value as Hollow Knight.

Is this game worth half a Hollow Knight though? Absolutely.

If you've bothered to look this game up, odds are someone recommended it to you or you were looking through the relevant tags. That said. If you're LOOKING for a game like this, this is one of the best examples out there.
