ArmA 3 is the longest game I've played since I began playing computer games, having invested almost 1800 hours. The ArmA series isn't just 1 game, it's at least 50 games inside of one. With its very strong modding community, there is virtually limitless ability for game-play, ranging from your average combat scenarios you are likely used too from more archaic game styles, up to the most realistic simulation game-play you can find anywhere. In a lot of games you will always find a compromise between functionality/capability and visual pleasing objects and effects, In this game, you will not find such a compromise.

Since its release in 2014, the creators at Bohemia Interactive continue to release not just patches and fixes but content that is both DLC and in a lot of cases even free, which promotes this game to a very unique level. You ask any gamer, they'll probably have heard or at some point or another played some version of ArmA. DayZ, Operation Flashpoint, or ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead, and now it's latest incarnation: ArmA: 3 - you will not be disappointed buying game.

Like in every game, there are of course both pros and cons, and I'd like to take a minute to list them out:
Pro's of ArmA 3
  • Great Community, regardless of playstyle, there is a group/community/unit out there for you!
  • Heavy modding, which is very much encouraged!
  • Fully adjustable difficulty style for both Single Player and Multi Player
  • Massive Maps both Native to ArmA and available via the steam workshop

Con's of ArmA 3
  • Physics - For all it's glory, ArmA 3's physics leave something to be desired. An example - Random collisions with objects that shouldn't kill you, sometimes will kill you. When vehicles take damage or explode resulting from excessive (or sometimes even just a tiny bit of damage, can seem incredibly idiotic.

Come to think of it, my only Con realy is just the Physics portion of ArmA.
9/10 Would recommend, in fact I purchased or have gotten around 20 people into this game.
