As a Spider-Man fan who’s been here since day one, I can tell you this: when it comes to a genuine new Spider-Man experience, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is everything I ever wanted from a Spidey game. It perfectly captures the spirit of being the hero you are, and the action feels both new yet familiar. This game has filled an itch I didn’t even know I had for all this time.

The story is great, with an engaging story bursting with heartwarming scenes, twists, and memorable characters. It’s the sort of storytelling that leaves you feeling like you’re part of a high-budget Spidey movie. The move from cinematic cutscenes and a heavy atmosphere effortlessly embeds you into Peter Parker's world.

At first the combat system seemed a little simplistic — even repetitive. But new gadgets, skills, and suits that you unlock reveal that depth as long as you progress. Each battle feels dynamic and satisfying as players experiment with different combos. What begins as a "lazy" system turns out to be fun and addictive.

Although the open world is amazing regarding details and things to do, some activities get a little meh after a while. (That said, the music, though competent, never really pops as some of the game’s other elements do.) But those are small flaws don’t devalue the overall fun.

At the end of the day, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is a brilliant experience. Whether you’re swinging across Manhattan’s skyline or untangling Peter Parker’s personal woes, it’s a game that succeeds in almost every respect. If there’s even a tiny part of you that enjoys Spider-Man, this is an absolute must-play.
