its a chaotic amalgamation of valorant, overwatch, fortnite and genshin, with a unique 3d->2d concept, and the art style is cute. it isnt a bad game, but it also has many issues.

let's start with ranked:

-due to the high time to kill and lack of clutching potential, ranked matches heavily swing in favor of teamwork, communication, and character/player synergy rather than solo skill expression. wouldnt be a problem if you werent getting matched with toxic russians 90% of the time.
-no variety in modes. only the 5v5 T vs CT has a ranked presence, and i don't exactly like it due to the above issue, which means i have to stick to casual.
-ranked placements make no sense. i dominated my 5 placement games and was placed only two ranks above the absolute bottom.
-there is massive skill disparity between players. some are long time shooter fans coming from apex and cs2 while others' only experience with games is genshin impact - and since everyone was placed in the same Iron 1-2 area and ranking up is incredibly slow, nobody has equal skill and winning is usually a coin flip.

monetization & cosmetics:
- i wouldn't have a problem with prices if there were more ways to get things for free. the game's incredibly stingy on pulls (usually get 1 every 3 or so days after you exhaust the new player rewards) to the point of making genshin look generous. additionally, the paid currencies are... expensive. very, very expensive.
- cosmetics are very, very subpar. the legendary skins (rarest ones that cost tons) are cool, but for their price tag, they are surprisingly boring and mundane. most other skins are just recolors with a few tiny detail changes.

gameplay:
- as i said, who wins hinges purely on teamwork. this means that solo developed skills like good aim, game sense, map awareness etc. etc. can only get you so far. you NEED a 5 man to stomp in this game unless your skill is incredibly above the opponents'.
- the 2d mechanic is alright. it can be frustrating at times as 1v1s become essentially a stringify then whoever's team helps first wins the encounter, leading back to my point about teamwork and communication. but i'll give it points for originality.

other:
- this game can be sued for stealing and not transforming other ips' maps. unironically, there are a few maps that are not just inspired or loosely based on but DIRECT COPIES of other games' maps with only the assets changed, especially visible in the Escort mode (stolen from OW).
- region locking is pretty stupid as the game hinges on teamwork and that only makes it harder to find teammates/friends. you're forced to solo queue which then results in a coin flip which team will synergize better with each other.
- grinding is a disaster. you have to play a LOT of Strinova to get all the characters unlocked as a F2P.

and despite all this, i still give this game a thumbs up. why? well, because if you don't take the game seriously and just play it for the "badass cute women with guns pew pew each other" factor - it's a very fun time, especially in casual modes where the players aren't sweating as much and you won't see much of the tryhard strats i described above.

however, and i warn you this with my heart: DO NOT EXPECT AN ENJOYABLE COMPETITIVE EXPERIENCE AS A SOLO QUEUE PLAYER! if you're into skill, and showcasing and improving aim, and getting better - you'll find strinova frustrating as it's competitive is heavily team based and the better team synergy absolutely always wins.
