I remember I got this game alongside PSP on my birthday when I was young. Having to never play FFVII, as Angeal said it, we were poor. While it is true I did get a PS1 and Gran Turismo from my birthday a lot earlier, this was in the 90s and we were scammed regarding the house back then which is why I could not get any single new PS1 games, my mom, rest her soul, wanted to get me the original FFVII but we were struggling. Fast forward to 2008, this was my first taste of FFVII and I was aware this is a prequel. Graphic was amazing on the portable device and the game was a lot fun back then. I enjoy the story of Zack Fair, who eventually became my role model after the ending. To be a hero and to be kind to all. To this day, I still aspired to be like Zack, to help out people and offer kindness as he had. c:

Now "replaying" this again, I love the gameplay and I am very happy to see the story was unchanged and the graphic looks very nice. Sure, the intro cutscene as well as few other seem to be outdated but I thought it held up very well. I know a lot of people had a lot to say about Crisis Core and regarding Gackt AKA Genesis, but I thought he was okay and there are still Loveless line that I remember to this very day. Not a whole lot but I still remember it. Dude really beat it into my head.

While this is incomplete as a review overall since I just started, the game got me excited to play more. I would say I recommend this game, I had no problem so far as I continue to play. :) SE got ♥♥♥♥ on this year and for good reasons. But when they do good, they can do good. It's a shame really. :/ But I hope somewhere in the future, SE would abandon the crypto practice and start making actual good games like this one. :)

Masterpiece of a game. This will be my 4th playthrough, first time being Royal, all previous were from original game. Why did I keep restarting in NG+? Because I can only be loyal to one woman per playthrough and I would feel super terrible if I choose to cheat on them. :(

First off, campaign, gunplay and few other things like co-op, great stuff.

But the UI has to be the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Why do you have to make it look like it's something straight outta Netflix or other apps when you bring up your guns? It's easier to look at which one you put the guns in because you can put edit the name in.

Also, what the ♥♥♥♥ am I looking at? Which gun was it again so I can unlock the gun I want? I swear, these names are horrendous, even though I get there's a copyright reason but at least make it sound like it's something close that I know which one is it.

Some maps are decent and some... I really, REALLY love to know the reason why they think the mess that if Border Crossing is a good idea.

And let's not mention the missing features. Boy, I have MILLION OF WINS AND 2 LOSSES, but I have no way to proof to you, so sorry!

Nah but for real, I don't know why they thought this was a good idea. All of this and especially the UI. I hope they fix it but knowing how they are, I kinda doubt that.

This game is like sex.

You had too much fun but just after you log off the game, you feel immense guilt, regret and shame.

10/10 would do it again
