I've never been a fan of any Pokémon game I played, but I always liked survival games, similar I suppose to Minecraft, where it takes time and effort to get yourself better equipment, to then make your character as strong as possible.

I really enjoy this game, it feels like a bit of a mix of the two previously mentioned games, and this time, I'm actually enjoying catching the animals.

Now yes, there's obviously some inspiration coming from Pokémon in terms of the design of the Pals, but all those people complaining on Twitter/X about it are the diehards who refuse to accept another game being popular and will just cry about it for literally no reason.

Of course the game is in early access, and so I've stumbled across some bugs and crashes. Even last night I had to undo about 20/30 minutes of work in the game due to me being unable to load back into my world, but after that, it was all smooth sailing. Hopefully the developers will stick with this game and make it flawless. Heck it's better than most AAA games on release, and they're usually the games that devs claim are finished (looking at you, Cyberpunk).

This is a great game. Buy it.
