Genuinely the most heart-poundingly fun, invigorating, exciting, and cathartic game I have ever played. Unlike many fast paced games, the cycle of dying, respawning, and trying again is not frustrating. Momentum is never killed, only stemmed for a moment, and before very long you're back into it.

The only conceivable reason I can see to not play this game is that you struggle with violence, blood, imagery of hell, and loud/violent sound effects and beeps. If those things are enough to turn you off a game, then this game isn't for you. If those don't bother you, though, then I cannot recommend it more highly.

The only issues I've had so far are in fast travel.

When you reach the end of a level, before you reach the ending waypoint and are sent to the mission summary screen where your progress is reviewed, you unlock fast travel for the map of the level. This way, you can go back and complete challenges, find collectibles, and look for extra lives without disrupting any pacing of the level itself.
Unfortunately, almost every level suffers from either bugs or just plain obstacles that mean you physically cannot access certain things earlier on in the level if you fast travel back. One notorious example in the second half of the game involves jumping downwards into a pit that would ordinarily "kill" you (by which I mean shave off some armour/health and drop you back up on the ledge without having to reload a checkpoint or have a loading screen). In the cutscene where it happens, however, it takes you to a later stage in the level. If you fast travel backwards, you cannot fast travel to that later stage and must jump down the pit. You really have to be creative to come up with some way to make this work, as it's totally inconsistent across everyone's experience.

This is a frustrating bug, but hardly a major issue. At the end of the day, you can just replay the level from the mission select menu and get the collectibles etc. that way. This is, sincerely, the only issue I have with the entire game, though. I love it.

Fun, funny and all around just worth getting. Even if you're not into simulation sort of games, it's definitely worth a look. I had fun with it and the success of my new company Dudeson industries
